No rational person would agree with that statement. How do you test something that you agree is purely subjective against empirical evidence? If you can find 100,000 people who say that they are willing to die for their country because it is what gives their life meaning.... and you find just ONE who disagrees.... then the ONLY thing you can conclude is that SOME people find meaning in life by service to country. That one disenting person makes any universal statement about service to country granting meaning to life invalid. |
