Hadn't noticed that Scheele was still around by the way. Do you know whether he still preaches to the choir? Would be fun to go to one of his sermons once (although I don't know whether I could hold in my laughter). I see he removed his forum from the site. Now why would that be?

Hmm, Ratelband.. it's a pity that political party of his never took off. It would have been good for a few laughs :)

Scheele is really on the way out, from what i hear. His media-exposure has been pretty much zero for the last two years, but judging from various fora he still has a small following. With the ongoing secularisation though it's just a matter of time before that too drops to nil.

Personally, i think having a freak like Hovind around would be just that little push to drive Christianity into its rightful place in the realm of the absurd.

Miss Tick sniffed. 'You could say this piece of advice is pricesless', she said. 'Are you listening?'
'Yes' said Tiffany.
'Good now...If you trust in yourself.."
'Yes..?'
'..and believe in your dreams...'
'yes?'
'...and follow your star..' Miss Tick went on.
'Yes?'
'You'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy. Goodbye.'

Sounds like a hint to me, folks. At the very least, I will heap praise on anyone who comes forward with a completely original and well-done rolleyes smiley for use here.

That was easier to do than I thought it would be. I personally think it looks pretty good, but if you think it has something that could be improved, don't hesitate to suggest something.

Not too shabby. I think I'd do it in some other color, though. Apoplectic purple, maybe? Or leperous grey?

Anyhow, I think it's neat. Good job!

I put some more colors up there, but leperous grey and apoplectic purple? Google comes up empty on leperous grey and all of the apoplectic purples that come up don't contain examples. So I'm not quite sure what either are. If you could find some examples, or even just post the hexidecimal or rgb values, I could do as you suggested.

(you can get the rgb colors by going into Word->Font->Color->More Colors->Custom)

My editorial suggestions, Ricky: make the background transparent (the white will show up on gray-background posts like this one), and lose the actual smile - just make the mouth a horizontal line. The rolleyes face is supposed to look exasperated, not dopey.

Oh, and you did make 'em the same size as these, right? I confess to not checking.

Alright, I made the changes, I just need to know what color (I didn't go through making all the colors again). And yes Dave, it is 15x15, which is the same as the icons here.

Nice. I like the color as it is there. Tell filthy that it's long-suffering orange.

Now, let's suggest to @tomic that he jam it in with the forum-code tag of [~~]. We'll know he's done it when this one:

becomes a rolleyes.

The Rude One is now on the case of that vile, rat's abortion; Tom DeLay.

quote:
Oh, DeLay (Part 2):
The history of Tom DeLay's hometown, Sugar Land, Texas, like much of the history of the red states of America, is a tale of how the thriving, mostly white, Houston bedroom community was built on the bleeding, broken backs of slaves and convicts. East of the Brazos River, the place was originally a land grant plantation in 1828 that grew mostly (and then only) sugarcane. The Oakland Plantation was massive and contained hundreds of slaves to do the ridiculously labor-intensive work of harvesting the cane in the ridiculously impossible heat of the Texas sun, the air filled with the sickening stench of cane being boiled in the mill and processed in the refinery. When the Civil War ended, in order to keep the plantations going, the good white people of Sugar Land "leased" convicts from the state prison farms that sprung up in the area, 500 or so men. The brutal working conditions (remember: not only were these essentially slave laborers, but they were also being "punished") made the prisoners give Sugar Land the name "Hell Hole on the Brazos." The last cane was harvested in 1928, a century after it started. The town, however, was there to stay, and its refinery, owned by Imperial Sugar, became the central industry and more or less owned the town until about 1960, when it became its own hell hole which belched forth the bile-ridden bit of vomit known as Tom DeLay.

Address is the same.
