Hi all,

Not sure whether this is already been discussed elsewhere. If so, feel free to lock or delete this thread (after pointing me to the relevant other thread).

I just read in the newspaper that Bush appointed Margaret Spellings as secretary of education (as that the right title, I'm translating from dutch here). They also wrote that this might be part of a political change all through Washington where Bush is trying to replace the current culture in Washington with one which is more in line with his (presumably christian right wing?) thinking.

Anyone have any more background on this? What do you think of Margaret Spellings on education? And what do you think about the predictions of this regime change?

Tom

It should also be noted, most of the moderate bush appointees from the first administration quit in disgust or were removed. And it looks like the rest of them are leaving now... The new AG isnt much better than "cant beat a dead mancroft"

I am appalled by the idea of purging the CIA of any Bush dissenters. What is that all about?

So just what was that Clinton 'travelgate' scandal all about anyway? Unbelievable hypocrisy!!!!!
