Well, Piltdown, looks like you're too late. It seems Phil has banned Emperor and locked his threads.
And Chip: how right you were! The guy stormed out at least twice, and then kept coming back for more.
I'd like to try this experiment: place Emperor at the point of contact of two Earths. Since there would be no pressure, he should be fine... right?

Alas. Two of the threads I started on Emperor's Own Forum have now been deleted (I was discussing, mostly with other versions of myself, the misconceptions of pseudoscience) so he (or his web lackey) have figured out how to delete whole threads. So far I don't think they know how to delete single entries or ban users...As the chat-room rugrats say, ROFL.

4 days to be banned...well, folks, that's the record...for now.

Nope, the idiot who posted the thread entitled "FUCKIT" got it after a few hours. I'm quite impressed.

Heheh... I doubt many people even saw that thread... it was already locked and the user banned when I saw it, and gone shortly after that.

Oops! My bad. Don't exactly hang around BABB a lot, myself.

So am I.
Any idea what the topic was supposed to be?

The guy meant "FUCKIT". He was bitching about locked threads on "half" the content. (Curiously enough those threads were by Emporer.)

For the record, the person who logged on as "skepticbuttkick" and posted the thread titled "FUCKIT" was John Reyes, aka Emperor. That's why that name got banned so fast.
I banned Emperor because he lied on the BABB; in his very first thread he made it seem like he had stumbled on the site and the book, when he actually wrote it. I did not ban him because of the content of his posts; there are people who post who make less sense, and other who post far more capable attacks on mainstream astronomy, and I let them stay.
Hopefully, Reyes is gone for good. It's people like him who make running a BB very difficult.

You run an exceptionally civil board, Phil. As anyone who's visited, say, the Landover Baptist forum knows, once a poster descents to obscenities ("F***IT") the debate has nothing left and the only options for those who are not forum moderators are to ignore the poster or to pretend you're a lawnmower and he's a snake. (That last option is practiced with cut-throat abandon on Landover. Watch out for flying reptile parts if you visit during an infestation!)
I find BB dynamics fascinating, I really do. Usually I find myself with only half as much wit as is useful, but what the heck.

Locking this thread all. Visit BABB 04.
