------------

Hope springs eternal but there's no conviction
Actions mistaken for lip service paid
All this concern is the true contradiction
The world is insane...

That's what we all need to see. That there is humanity everywhere and this terrorist act was against humanity. No one will tolerate this. Thanks for posting TD.

Greg.

Thanks Tokyo. After being generally pissed off at the world for the last two days, it really helps to find out that not everyone outside the US thinks mass murder of Americans is a cause for celebration.

Of course I already knew this, but sometimes you need a little something to restore a proper perspective. Tuesday's event made me angry as hell, but this is the first thing I've seen that actually brought tears to my eyes.

On a related note, the brass band which is part of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace played "The Star-Spangled Banner" today

That has been the first time that has EVER happened. I found it extremely diffucult to watch. British citizens, crying during a song which, ironicaly, was written about a british attack. It brought tears to my eyes.

I don't think anything has hit home what a truly global village we have become then that.

"Goddammit! The world is just filling up with more and more idiots! And the computer is giving them access to the world! They're
spreading their stupidity! At least they were contained before--now they're on the loose everywhere!"?

Thanks for the thoughtful post, tokyodreamer... I guess the full significance of all of this isn't sinking in to me yet.

The whole European union will have 3 minutes of silence at noon.(Central European Time)
Trains will stop, radio and TV will be silent and work will cease at most work places.

The attack hurts all of us. Europe is in a state of shock.
We also share your rage.
