Time Magazine must be trying to achieve tabloid status. Why else would they waste 6,000 words on a woman who's familarity with the truth is as tenuous as Tom DeLay's code of ethics?
And I think she's had her toes amputated. Short of having feet like marlinspikes, I can't see any other way to get those shoes on.

The story mentions her 'humor'. Her sense of humor is on par with Rush's. I recall on his TV show where he said he had a picture of the Clinton's dog and showed a picture of 13 year old Chelsea. What a bastard.
Rush and Coulter are a couple of mean spirited assholes who sense of humor extends as far as making fun of people who disagree with there extremely narrow political view. She turns my stomache.

Over at AMERICAblog, they've noted that the idiots at Time include a staged photo by a GOP front-group to "prove" how hated Coulter is by the left. Of course, if it's all an act to give Democrats a bad name ("Communits for Kerry"? Come on!), then the photo has little value.

Yeah, I know. It's the other end that's fucked up, but damn; those got to be some of the ugliest and least practical girl-shoes extant. Why would anyone want to put a 10 inch shoe on a 7 inch foot, everything jacked up in the back like an AHRA funny car? It makes no sense to me.
From what I've read so far, Time has now managed to piss off everybody except those of us who can't stop laughing. Renae has pretty well described the screed, it would seem....;

There isn't any transcript yet but yesterday's Air America's Al Frankin show discussed a few of Ann's quotes and gave pretty clear evidence why the statements were out right lies. One in particular was so out of context as to be laughable. Frankin had Coulter's quote next to the real quote. The fact she makes such statements just puts her in the same hypocritical book as the rest of the Republican vote whores. The woman knows full well her outrageous crap sells. Gee, what a surprise.
Frankin is now interviewing a guy from Newsweek about the Times cover and the guy is quite critical of the frivolousness of the article. Frankin is saying Coulter was a racist airhead when he debated her. The Newsweek guy is saying he won't debate her again because he can't control his anger talking about her. Frankin is saying the Times article author claimed he couldn't find factual errors with very much of Coulter's stuff and Frankin is incredulous citing numerous additional false statements of Coulter's. The Newsweek guy is continuing with specific racist comments Coulter has made during debates.
Frankin is saying how sloppy the article is as it has a picture of a group supposedly protesting Coulter but the group was a Republican Parody group during the Republican Convention. I can't see the picture so I may have the description wrong but that was the gist of Frankin's comments anyway. Frankin says he has a call in to the Times author to ask about the discrepant facts in the article but the author hasn't returned Frankin's calls.
That's it, topic is moving on to, how appropriate, an interview with Moveon.org's founder. Gee, I never wrote a summary during a program. That was fun.
BTW, why would you waste any money on a Time subscription? I get copies for free since they think my home office is a medical clinic and even then I only rarely read any of it. I give them to the local library charity book store. The last one with the 100 influential people was one of the most 'absent of any information' bunch of pages they have put out yet. |
