Um, you were the individual that came to a skeptic website, made unsupported claims, and then gets upset with the rigors of evidence required by the skeptic community in support of your claims. This seems to be inconsistent with your purported purpose in opening this thread. The website explains to some extent objective vs subjective reality. Offering the best that we can hope for, is some understanding that we can never quite reach true objective reality, but through scietific methodology we might come close. |

Then why bother? I have used the terms "deluded", "delusion", and "delusional" several times regarding the way HYBRID himself describes his take on things and his own, rather unique view of reality. As with all words, these are used to facilitate efficient, effective communication, not to be mean, vindictive, or to engage in name calling. I've been using these terms according to their dictionary definitions and common contemporary usage. For the moderators, HYBRID, and anyone else who is interested, the following is a list of definitions acquired from Google:
de·lu·sion (de-lu-zhun):
- A fixed belief that has no basis in reality and is not affected by rational argument or evidence to the contrary. People experiencing delusions are often convinced they being persecuted by others and are said to be "paranoid."
- Systematized false beliefs, often of grandeur or persecution.
- Living within the conceptual mind. Living within the cycle of continuous thought.
- a false belief that is maintained in spite of contrary evidence.
- "The father of a most respectable family, comprising Enthusiasm, Affection, Self-denial, Faith, Hope, Charity and many other goodly sons and daughters." [DD] Observed regularly among Fundies in chatrooms, evidenced by babble, hypocrisy and method of sharing.

Clear, concise communication is important to me, and if there are terms I can use to make myself better understood, I welcome the opportunity to learn and use them. |

And if I did my professors were shit, and should not be allowed to teach their profession, which they have done for years, but just because they they taught something that goes against, agian, what you believe, or create in your own mind to be true, that they should be fired or not teach, or something is wrong with them.
