"The thing about conspiracy literature is that it's perfect for stupid people who want to seem smart and ground their hatred in something completely mystical and confusing, and it's good for smart people who are too lazy to do their homework. People can't argue with it without possibly implicating themselves."

I'm still waiting to hear what he did at summer camp.

"What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought my Dark Lord of the Sith could protect a small thermal exhaust port that's only 2-meters wide! That thing wasn't even fully paid off yet! You have any idea what this is going to do to my credit?!?!"

"What? Oh, oh, 'just rebuild it'? Oh, real [bleep]ing original. And who's gonna give me a loan, jackhole? You? You got an ATM on that torso LiteBrite?"

While you're at it, tell us about our country's four fathers, the ones that were escaping religious persecution.

Yes, I'm serious. And this morning I looked through this entire thread. (Remember, you accused me of claiming that mystery schools started only in 1700 BC; I obviously didn't.) Early on, I asked about mystery schools and as yet there's been no significant description or discussion of them.

And please, I've been listening. Again, I've been nothing but cordial in this and other threads. Any help you could offer would be appreciated!

Conspiracy theories attract everybody. It's only the uneducated and illiterate that continue to believe in them. I bet the majority of people on this board like them as exercises in common sense.

You are, of course completely correct.

I, in my turn, find them highly entertaining, the way they twist and turn to accomadate any peice of information at hand.

I should have asked:

Why is it that only ill-educated and illiterate people accept the validity of conspiracy theories?

Until I can think my way out.
I know it was all a big joke
Whatever it was about."

Are you serious? Are you really serious by this statement? First of all, that is calling me below average, and insult, name calling, where is the moderator?? Second of all, this is so wrong, its not worth addressing. That's a joke!

I think the mod was more upset at the threat than the insults. I mean, it dv had said "why is it that only ill-educated and illiterate people whose ass I'm going to kick until they don't know what day it is accept the validity of conspiracy theories?" then perhaps you'd have a case. But then, I haven't follwed the debate much, so what do I know.

Mostly, my not following this discussion is because I'm really anxious to hear about mystery schools, which I'm sure HYBRID is going to tell me about in great detail. Any time now. Any time.

Cune, I'm sure he would if you would stop clowning around and act serious for a minute.

Your still on that?Let it go man. I was merely making a generalization of the people (four fathers, pilgrims, etc!) who "built" the foundation of this country, according to history! Do you get it now? I hope I don't have to address this again!
