I hope you don't have to address it again either, given your tenuous grasp of facts.

"According to history", our forefathers numbered more than four and the pilgrims were a completely separate group from our forefathers--temporally, theologically and as a social caste. Moreover, the philosophy of the pilgrims was/is 180 degrees from the Constitution, the foundation of our country.

But then a "grown man" would know that, of course.

"What? Oh, oh, 'just rebuild it'? Oh, real [bleep]ing original. And who's gonna give me a loan, jackhole? You? You got an ATM on that torso LiteBrite?"

What would you like to "know"?
Are you serious? Early on in this thread (here, second post from the top), you wrote
quote:
I have taken courses in which we researched some very powerful mystery schools, their beliefs and some of their symbols. One of these mystery schools that existed as far back as 3000 b.c., used the same symbols as THIS branch of the illuminati, Bavarian.
Then, you wrote (here-- first post on the page)
quote:
You think that this is all to the illuminati? And freemasons? Damn you are dumb, I keep trying to give you a little credit, but damn! Do you know what mystery schools are?Do you know that secret societies study the mysteries?DO you have any idea what they are? DO you have any ideas that i studied mystery schools in a COLLEGE INSTITUTION? DO you know there symbols, beliefs creeds?Probably not, but go ahead and tell me some more stuff that is not true, because you are obviously and expert. Oh great one.
Later, in discussing your authority to speak on certain matters, you wrote "BUt when dealing with history and ancient history, I will refer to myself and my mentors."

So the question is, as it has been for weeks now, what are "mystery schools" and, tangentally, what is our evidence that they go back 5,000 years?

I ask because I consider myself a bit of a student of history but, having never heard of these schools-- and certainly not in antiquity-- I wanted to become more familiar with them. You suggest that you know something about them and have even taken courses in college about them.

Thus, my question.

Conspiracy theories attract everybody. It's only the uneducated and illiterate that continue to believe in them. I bet the majority of people on this board like them as exercises in common sense.

This is not an indirect insult! Can I insult people back?

The warning was for a threat not insults.

The post apparently is making reference to conspiracy theories and conspiracy theorists. If you chose to take offense at it, I cannot stop you.

The self imposed stop on insults is up to you to keep or break as you see fit.

Be advised that insulting others is no way to forward your position. It weakens it.

First of all, The royal Court of the dragon, which still exists, started by at least 2500 b.c.Mithraism, at least 3500 b.c.I love the way you guys chop up what I say to mean whatever the hell you want, just because you quote me out of context, you guys should work for
the media!

But Its like this, If I come up with some info I have gotten from school, you "professors" will tell me either I am wrong or my professors are wrong. Now why would I address people ignorant enough to say something like this? You will just post a website, which anyone can post, and say see your schooling is all wrong.Hmm. should I listen to you guys, a website, or a college professor? It is a no brainer folks!

And I know that college professors are human and can make mistakes, but if that's the case, then how is any info worthy. So, because you know everything, and YOU have never heard of mystery schools being that old, they don't exist or they only exist in your mind the way you want them, real scientific.

Now I will get to it if we can get past this bullshit we are going through right now.

I said this, and! My mentors happen to be professors, and others who have graduated college who I respect. What I meant was that the further you go back into history, the less realiable conventional history becomes, is that better? No, I don't think that all history is bullshit, just a lot of it. Did I clear this up?

Bullshit, and you know it! I will just ignore you altogther! That's like being on a military website, and saying that all people who fight wars are stupid, or whatever. Your not naming any names, but its not hard to figure out.But I think "certain people" just have to be assholes about the situation, I won't say any names, just a certain person with a skeptical point of view!

Insulting people can be outright, or semi-scholarly like you guys try to put a fancy dress on an insult, its still an insult. I just see them for what they are, and call you on them. My insults aren't so sugar coated though!

First things first, I am still waiting for the skeptics to debunk this info: http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4828

Our presidents grandfather was arrested for helping fund hitler, and no one has said one word about it. A new world order is a FACT, and no one said anything about. George H.W. Bush announced the new world order (this is only info from ONE of the sites I posted!!!) and everyone is quite, when this was not supposed to exist. Somebody, anybody?

And yet you keep responding to me. You've told me that you will be ignoring me for a little while. As you have been ignoring evidence presented to you refuting your position for quite a while, I can see no difference.

quote:
That's like being on a military website, and saying that all people who fight wars are stupid, or whatever.

Nope. Not even close. We are relaying our direct observations of patterns of arguementation. You have accepted the patterns as your own and take offense.

quote:

Quite a persecution complex. Perhaps if you actually responded to the evidence presented you on why you are wrong rather than deriding people as in on the conspiracy or government plants, perhaps people would take you more seriously. You expressed interest in answering Cuneformist and then refused to define the exact term he was asking clarifiaction on.

To put it bluntly, define "Mystery schools".

quote:

Insulting people can be outright, or semi-scholarly like you guys try to put a fancy dress on an insult, its still an insult. I just see them for what they are, and call you on them. My insults aren't so sugar coated though!

No, you have a persecution complex and perhaps a Napoelon complex which attempts to assert your point through intimidation and derision. That usually gets no sympathy from skeptics as they see it as weakening the position. Provide evidence for your assertations, Piper, or move on.

I'd like to mention that we have been waiting for months for you to name the actual courses, the university where they were given and the instructors, not to mention a definition for the term "mystery schools"

Would you agree with this?
quote:
A Mystery school is a university of the soul, a school for the study of the mysteries of the inner nature of man and of surrounding nature. By understanding these mysteries, the student perceives his intimate relationship with divinity, and strives through self-discipline and devotion to become at one with his inner god.

If so I dont know of any schools which are legit that would try this crap.

Further hilarious reading,
quote:
The physicist cannot point to the physical atom, yet he knows it exists as the basis, the foundation, of all matter; the student of theosophy cannot show you a Mystery school, yet he knows it exists as the heart or atomic center of the spiritual and intellectual life of the planet. Who then would dare assert the non- existence of the Mysteries, of this potent atom of esotericism, when luminous traces of spiritual power are seen scattered all over the world?

Take a number behind the other 100,000 spiritual groups which have it all figured out.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini
