Hey Trish, there are computers with internet that you can use for free at almost every public library. And yes, you life really should revolve around SFN. Shouldn't everyones?

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Anyway, I think the sum-up is that you are coming from the "through and through liberal” perspective, where smoking in bars is a civil right until it can be proven that such behavior is severely detrimental to non-consenting adults. Fair enough. (Hopefully I've phrased that in a way that is agreeable.)

Well, to tell you the truth I think most liberals would approve of legislation banning smoking from bars. You know, having a well-developed social conscience and approving of progressive public policies and all. So yeah, I may be a liberal but I am also a skeptic. Sometimes my liberalism is over-ruled by the sort of things that cause alarms to go off in a skeptics mind. Bogus studies for example. So no, I don't think my position is based on my liberalism.

And yes, I do favor seat belt laws.

Well, I'll be in Broomfield CO at a draw site, not anywhere near the Main Denver Hub. So I should be fairly safe. I expect to hire on and stay at Quest long enough to get the experience I need to get on at a hospital. If they'll hire me right out of my extern. If it's still available in a week though, I'm going to apply for a position at one of the hospitals, (I probably won't get it for lack of experience), for a phlebotomist to work the lab, ER, and morgue. Could be interesting. Then again, I could be the only one applying for it too, even less likely than my getting hired for the position.

Well, ok Kil. Yes I like SFN, but I am limited by the bus schedules and my ability to get to and from the library, if it's close enough, I can certainly walk. To work 8 hours today I expended 5 hours on the bus in travel time. If I can cut back on that travel time I'll have the time for the library and SFN, if not, I'll miss you all until I get a real job.
