We could not get pictures or video from an outside source because
1) There were no other picture taking crews up there except for Apollo.
2) There exists video which shows the link up to the LM for extraction but from the view of the CM.
3) ground based cameras could not get a picture because of the limits of zoom photography and the huge distances involved.
You, sir, are completely ignorant of the basics of the Apollo program. I suggest you actually study it before you pooh-pooh it. Da Vinci is crying because of your idiocy. |

You can't see Mars, you can't see your probe, but magically your probe lands on Mars attracted by its perfume of carbon dioxide.
Have you found any software that can drive your probe to a target 500 million kilometers distant?
