At that website you can read:

"When firing in a vacuum most rocket engines are silent. Even the large SPS engine on the service module was not audible from the command module. This is because the noise from a rocket engine is not really coming from the engine, but from the effect of the exhaust on the surrounding atmosphere. It's the shock wave of the supersonic exhaust gases colliding with the air near the engine nozzle. If there's no atmosphere, you shouldn't expect to hear a loud sustained sound".
Who is this imbecile? The air hinders the propagation of the noise.

I am going to be generous and write this off to English being your second language. Surely you know that sound waves require a mediun such as an atmosphere to be able to travel. There is no such medium in space.
Now, what did you really mean?

I don't understand what you are trying to say? Do you think it's an imbecil who is saying the line "We should hear the lunar module's descent engine firing in the radio transmissions during the landing" ??? That's what I think. The other part is a respons explaining why there is not any sound.
By the way, here is the link to the part you quoted. Bigbrain, it's common curtesy to provide a link to the lines you are quoting, so people can look it up to ensure that the text is quoted in the right context. |

Hey, dear friend filthy, ask http://www.clavius.org why NASA buffoons made this trajectory to go to Saturn
The Earth runs at 65,000 miles per hour.
Why did NASA buffoons make their probe to turn two times round Venus?

Yes, at least 2, possibly three different parachutes designed for different air-speeds. Once the capsule has slowed down to sub-sonic speed, if an ordinary parachute was deployed at 300m/s (~1000km/h) the parachute would get ripped to shreds. A specially designed parachute is deployed made to slow the capsule from 300m/s to perhaps 100m/s. Have a look at Randy's second picture, the shape of that parachute is more a pear than an ordinary parachute, like the other pics. |

As is perfectly obvious in the series of photos: same chute, different light values. Pretty one, ain't it. Much finer than the drab rags we used.

Filthy, the two first 'chutes definitly looks like two different ones. Just look at their deployed shape. I submit that they are used for different speeds, at different stages of the reentry. |

The first 'deformed' parachute photo could have a deployment ring that dampens the chute's opening so the shock of high speed does not tear it apart. I first noticed about this on programs on parachutes used on the Mars Rover missions from near two years ago. |
