I know you didn't mean for it to be rude. I though it was rude to put a posters name on a file. My comment wasn't personal to you. But now that you explained it sounds reasonable. However there could have been a better title.

Who's Barbara? Now you are getting a bit rude yourself.
LOL. You really have been with too many mental doctors. How is that joke rude? Some people have such a strange way of reading things. Barbara is a nurse, she misunderstands things and gets hysterical. She took me to court, the judge laughed at her for what she said and dismissed the 'case'. Some day she'll be gone and I'll be so happy. BTW, she's my ugly mean X-sister.
quote:
I gave an example of a diagnosis one could make without seeing a patient and you turn it into a straw man of not being an acceptable example. If I were your doctor, I think I'd be annoyed with the irrelevant questions. Don't ask on my account. I don't care what you think of my diagnostic skills. I've been a solo practitioner in private practice for 15 years. I'd say the fact my practice is quite successful speaks for itself.
We were talking about mental conditions, you started talking about physical diagnosis, whatever you were saying had nothing to do with the original conversation. So I don't know why you were talking about that. I don't know what you mean by 'straw man', do you mean scaring away birds? What does that have to do with anything. Please speak English? My doctors are nice, they understand me and are pleasant and friendly. It is not understandable to me why you are mentioning your skills. I have no idea who you are, so what's the point.
quote:
I'm confident in my assessment of O'Reilly. You ignored the citations I posted supporting my position under the false pretense the title was rude, though you never asked my intent in wording the title. I think we're done here. Should you bother to look at the evidence I'll be happy to take this up again at that time.
Clearly you are hysterical to look at a post and see what is not there or at the least, add to it what you think rather than what is real. I told you why I did not look at the other folder, you are saying I'm lying! I don't like talking to hysterical people, they make no sense. If you can clam down for a moment and think about what you are saying, feel free to post again. ps. I thought nurses were caring, sweet, understanding and friendly people but I guess that was my mothers generation. Now they are all Barbaras. What is the world coming to? |

The lady made it clear in her statements to the police and the depositions that she consistantly rebuked his advances. That he continued to persue her in spite of those rebukes is a sign of that he didn't care how he was making her feel. That he went to such an extreme as to suggest obscene acts with a loofah which would only be appropriate with someone with which you had an established sexual relationship with is so far beyond the pale as to comfortably say he is delusional.
Thanks for explaining the code thing. Paper work is 'not my thing'. Why can't life be more simple?
I don't see anything wrong with sexual suggestions. Seems to me people, especially women are too easily offended now days. But I guess if she was so shy and innocent she can complain. Too bad some people don't have a thicker skin. Haven't we all gone through things in our life that werent acceptable but why does that have to be a legal matter? I handled all that stuff myself. Gee, I could have been a millionaire many times over had I sued for every time something happened.
When I listen to O'Reilly on the radio he seems so rational, difficult to believe he's risk his job like that.

Those are the pieces you selected as being talked about. I was talking about making a diagnosis without seeing a patient face to face. The bottom line is, I have seen enough of O'Reilly to make a diagnosis and don't think a face to face exam would change that diagnosis. And, I don't care what you think of my diagnostic skills, since you have not seen enough of them to make any kind of assessment about me other than you don't agree with my politics and view of the world.

It's hard to comment on this nonsense but I will anyway.
Hysteria is not a delusional emotion. Rather is is one of being out of emotional control.
Why, if you told me you didn't look at a post or thread would I not believe that?????? I don't think I ever said you were lying. Could you find the quote so I know what you are talking about.
If I can calm down? That's a good one. Allow me to assure you that your posts don't ruffle my feathers in the least other than to be amazed at your thought process.
Nurses come in all personality shapes and sizes. The majority are very caring people, myself included. |

Since this has got to be the most boring Sunday I've ever seen, absolutely nothing on TV and I can't go anywhere, so there's no excuse not to answer this post. Here goes: You, who wrote the above are now in the Barbara category. Perhaps someday I'll take you out but for now I no longer will be talking to you. People who can't understand are too frustrating to try to talk to. Don't talk to me until you can stop being ridiculous. And my x-sister didn't sue me she accused me of trying to murder her. |

Yeah, but Norma, you've always had communication problems. Your written words don't often match what (after numerous posts) it turns out you meant to say. And yes, you've always (in my experience) blamed these problems on other people, rather than admit that your posts are, quite often, as clear as mud.quote: Don't talk to me until you can stop being ridiculous.
Why don't you just put her on your ignore list, instead of being snotty? From what I see, beskeptigal's major "offense" was to ask you where you thought she said you were lying, which is hardly "ridiculous" since I can't see it, either. |

Is there a way to block someone. You aren't just being funny? I'm not the one who started being as you put it, snotty. I don't start things like that, I answer what people ask. As for looking up quotes, I don't have time for that nonsense. If a person has an idea there's something misquoted or whatever, that's just how it will have to be, move on! I think it's being picky to ask to be quoted. There are intelligent people who do understand what I'm saying. I don't have time to deal with others who can't put two and two together. If someone doesn't understand, I don't mind rephrasing if possible but to look up past info, not my thing. |

I'm at a loss here.
Near as I can tell something I wrote was interpreted in some bizarre way. Or perhaps my calling Snake's claim I was hysterical nonsense offended Snake. Oh well. |

Could you please explain which definition of the phrase, "take you out" you are using? I certainly don't want to assume you mean that according to the first definition that pops into my mind.

Snake replied: quote: Hum! Did that say 'take you out'? Should have said take you off, as in someday the category could change and people are moved from one place to another.
Thank you, Snake, that was a great relief.
Good luck with school. Don't let it grind you down.

Hum! Did that say 'take you out'? Should have said take you off, as in someday the category could change and people are moved from one place to another. Example, today I am happy, school will start tomorrow but after the 1st day of class I might be sad because there's too much homework.... thereby moving from a happy place to a sad place. People who are in disfavor one day can move to a better place the next by repenting and get put into a different square.
Which brings up something I wanted to add to the other post. Some people, seem to have a Rush Limbaugh mentality as BS here does. That US against THEM attitude. It's difficult to talk to people who put themselves in a category and don't want to really see the other side. As soon as they think someone has the opposit view they get so indignant. That's what I see in some posts. |

LOL. Well, this is going to be strange. I had to delete for a spelling and wording error but you answered too quickly. So the posts are OUT of ORDER. Well, we know what we mean. Right? LOL.
Thank you. |

I believe you said you didn't want to state your gender in a post somewhere. However, I meant to replay then by saying I thought in another post you did actually say 'what' you are. At this point that's not the question. Now, I want to say, physically whatever body you have you are a gentleman in mind non the less. Because that's what I think of a real man, someone who is polite enough to ask questions to try to be understood and understand 1st rather than go off ranting and trying to prove something in a hasty manner. |

Yes, there is a way to block people's posts so you'll never see them (it doesn't work on staff members' posts, though), just like there's a way to edit one's posts rather than delete them if you make a typo.quote: If someone doesn't understand, I don't mind rephrasing if possible but to look up past info, not my thing.
Yeah, I know it's "not your thing" to support your own statements, Norma. Not everyone here "knows" you that well, though, since you are only recently back from a long (more than a year?) posting "sabbatical" from the SFN. I'm just trying to save some people quite a bit of frustration. |

I don't recall ever stating that I wanted to keep my gender private, and indeed that would not be like me. My gender is stated in my profile. I'm neither proud nor ashamed of it. In fact, at one time I pointed out how the "skepticpsychic" lady had mis-"read" my gender. People are certainly welcome to keep their genders private, but it's a nonissue to me.
Thank you sincerely for the kind words about my having been such a gentleman. But you have no idea how close I came to flying way off the handle over the "take you out" phrasing. ; )

That sounds like something I could have read, yeah maybe that's what made me think you didn't state your gender. If I come across the post I'm thinking of, I'll make a note of it. Ok, no big deal though.

I was thinking about that just after I posted the restatement. But you know... actually I was right the 1st time. Take you out was correct. The complete sentence should read: I can take you out of that category if the situation changes, or something like that. Or if you like: You can be taken out of that category, etc., etc. There, does that explain it further.
'flying off the handle', Gee, I hope you don't have high BP (blood presure). Counting to 10 really does work. |
