Part 3-
Next: Pier Rizzuto, professor of biochemistry in Italy, and here are his predictions-
[list]Look for a cheaper and more efficient way to produce small pox vaccine within the next six months.Scientists are hard at work perfecting detection devices that will make all workplaces safe from bio-terrorism.A new hand-held scanner now under development will make security screening at airports fail-safe.Advances in construction technology will enable us to erect high-rise buildings that are impervious to the type of attack that destroyed WTC.New processing techniques will make the nation's food supply 99.97% safe by the end of 2002.Sophisticated automatic pilot systems will make airliners hijack-proof.A integrated fiber-optic network will enable emergency services to respond to crises 8 times faster than they can now. This system will be in place within 18 months.A minor chemical modification for ordinary household bleach will enable the Evironmental Protection Agency to decontaminate even the largest office buildings within 24 hours of exposure to dangerous biological agents.E-mail & fax machines will handle 95% of the nation's mail, reducing the possibility that anyone will receive a biologically contaminated letter almost to zero.Super-sensitive sonar detection equipment will enable police to eavesdrop on terrorists from a distance of a 100 miles.[If anyone but the military gets this, you can almost be assured of lawsuits hitting the fan due to "loss of privacy." Pfft.]Hillary Clinton will lead a successful peace mission to Afghanistan.[Translation: she'll head over there well after the fighting has ended and take all the glory and credit. Typical politician]A new era of spirituality will sweep the world. People everywhere will take 10 minutes out of each day to publicly pray for peace.[I know what I'm doing with my ten minutes. Lisa, can you guess what I'm gonna do with my ten minutes? ]Secret writings of St. Paul will be found which contain specific references to America and the WTC attacks.[Every damn thing will seem like a predicition after the fact.]A tape recording made by Edgar Cayce shortly before he died will reveal a blueprint for combating terrorism.

Um, no. Would it frighten me? Maybe I don't want to know. I know what I'm going to do with my next ten minutes. ::Sound of cap being twisted off beer:: Seriously, don't a lot of these "predictions" fall into the "no shit" category? There's people who get paid to make these predictions all the time. Hell, we did trend analysis in the military. See what has happened, relate it to what's happening now, predict what will happen in the future. Also known as not getting caught with your pants around your ankles. Take for example, airport security devices. After 9/11 and a few subsequent events, don't you think someone, somewhere has said "Hmm, we need better airport security devices." Now if the guy had said, Osama is hiding in the area of xxx GPS coordinates, and we actually found him there, I'd be impressed. Lisa

Nope, it wouldn't. I'd just be playing video games and being a normal 21 year old.
