Geo b. You're the first I've seen use a different font other than size and color. A creative genius! One not afraid to be an individual.

By now you know that they are availible to everyone. Free of charge. Who said you can't teach old dogs new tricks?

The formatting codes are often useful for emphasis and such, but I'd recommend not messing with the fonts themselves too heavily, as you've no guarantee that what you preview is a good representation of what others will actually see in their browser.

It's generally best to let the browser deal with the font itself, and just bold, italicise and colour (yep, I'm from Oz) to your hearts content. Browsers are fickle beasts, but most combinations of browser and screen resultion will cope with these simple things quite well, and still be readable.

Too much colour however, may get you ignored, even if it is in near-wavelength correct order.

OK Who invited the party pooper?

Too bad. But you could still could do a fake version of it, right?

Sorry to have shown a shameful lack of faith in the "Atheists in Hell" church sign earlier. Indeed, I was even starting to question your existence. To paraphrase something my Dad used to say, "If you don't believe in Wendy, Wendy won't believe in you."

Actually, I have an example of a church sign that actually did violate the law of church-state separation. When I voted in the 2000 election, I had to vote at a church in Columbus, Ohio. Rules say that the voting site can't have any political signs up themselves that could sway voters, and nobody can have any political signs within a certain radius of the voting site. And that day, the sign in front of the church read: "On Nov. 6 Remember, God is Pro-Life". My friend Dave and I took a photo of it and sent the photo to all the local papers, and the church got publically shamed for the whole incident and got a warning from, oh, I forget the name of the govt. organization that handles that. Anyway, the church got in trouble. That was pretty gratifying.

Good for you, marf! Sometimes just putting the light of day on such things really can help.
