I am interested to hear how skeptics here feel about "It". I am hoping that "It" will indeed be revealed on Dec. 3rd and that it will be an invention that will be of great benifit to society. We'll see.

Personally, I don't give a crap about "it" anymore. "It" has had far too much hype. I am expecting to be seriously disappointed. The taint of the demon of Redmond makes me very wary as he hyped his Windows 95 (Beta test software unleashed on an unsuspecting public) much the same way.

"It" was revealed today. Yet another toy for people with more money than brains. http://www.msnbc.com/news/665724.asp?0dm=C11RT
A frelling gyroscopically-stabilized, battery-powered SCOOTER? I am most definately disappointed.

A battery powered scooter? Couldn't you just go to a Target or a K-Mart or Walmart and by one your self? Oh, wait, I forgot. A regular scooter would involve actual work, yeah. That's it. [rolls eyes]

I saw a show a while back that suggested "it" was going to be a battery powered scooter of some type. Since the inventor was hyping "it" as revolutionary and lifestyle changing, I thought the show was just a smoke screen. Oops. Actually, since its easy to use and gyroscopically stable, it will probably be a boon for the disabled. But as far as changing mankind? Uh, no. Lisa

That's a good idea there, Lisa. I agree also, that this isn't gonna change mankind. At least the people in the US do not want to give up their cars or their "toys," whichever you prefer.

I live in Canada, and was wondering if "it" comes equipped with snow tires. Perhaps all season radials would be a good option. The article I read in the paper said it had a top speed of 30 km/hr. I'm not sure I could handle all that speed.
I think I will stick to my car, it (I mean my car) comes equipped with a heater.

Not to mention the CD player w/ speakers that ensure I can impose my musical tastes on everyone. I don't think a scooter can manage that. Oh, and you're right about something else too. My Jeep can and has handled three and a half feet of snow with no problem. Can the scooter do that? Impress me. Lisa
