Bush Blocks WTO Entry for Russia 2:28 p.m. ET
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) -- In a chilly summit prelude, President
Bush blocked Russia's entry into the World Trade Organization on Saturday and President Vladimir Putin mockingly said Moscow doesn't want the kind of violence-plagued democracy the United States has fostered in Iraq.
OY SEZ:
This isn't news! When G. War does something that indicates rationality on his part, it will be news, very big news.
It seems to me, if I remember correctly, that the U-S didn't want Russia to be anti-capitalist (a commie state). Why would an American president want to obstruct a former communist dictatorship from participating more fully in world trade or capitalism at large?
Is there someone out there with a rational answer to this?
