Read David Bloomberg's review of the Fox show, "Million Dollar Mysteries".
Basically a rehash of countless other "Unsolved Mysteries" clones. But those wacky network guys just couldn't leave well enough alone, nope. They just had to add...Yes! Roswell! You can win a cool million by turning over a piece of a real alien spacecraft! Sad thing is, there are people out there who will actually watch this. It will garner ratings and sell commercial time.
Is 1400 too early for a beer?

Million bucks for gen-u-wine piece of UFO?

Wow! Time to fire up Ol'Spinner, my metal lathe, and Torchy, my welder!

I figure I can go down to Boeing surplus to find stock titanium, ceramets, and beryllium steels. Make some custom alloys out of them, doped with odd isotopic ratio elements obtainable from friends in some labs I used to work for...a little fine milling...and hey presto...gen-u-wine UFO bits.

Where's my million bucks!

And having read your posts on the other board, I have this very bad, very sad, feeling you're not 100% kidding.
BTW, nice Bike.

Ok, so Fox offers a cool million for a piece of a UFO. I am assuming they gave some criteria for what is considered a genuine chunk of UFO? Right?

While your working on the UFO mil...
here's an offer for a psychic mil...

James Randi, famous debunker, has an outstanding offer with his million dollar
challenge, to anyone who, under scientific controlled conditions, can
prove psychic powers actually works.

Sylvia Browne, famous psycohead took the bait!

Yeah she took the bait 88 days ago. She's been strangely silent since then. Golly, I wonder why? (heavy sarcasm alert) Could it be ::gasp:: she's not really psychic? Now my whole day is ruined. Which one of us should tell Montel Williams? Oh, horrid thought! Does this mean that John Edward isn't real either? That would bother me if he was better looking.

In reality, I'm far to ethical to pull a stunt like that for money. I'd do it as a hoax to teach fools a lesson, yes, but I realized a long time ago that these fools would never believe that they were fooled.

I'd hate to have UFO shysters make money off of idiots, touting as real evidence a hoax I perpetrated. That'd suck bad. Just look at the crop circle believers.

I actually feel sorry for them. They live their entire lives without a minute of objectivity. Unexamined lives...

Ok, so how would I go about making some part of a UFO and winning the prize, if I don't take the money off them someone else will.

In reality you would find it hard to obtain a piece of a UFO.
Once you have the physical evidence of a UFO, you can determine its origin (aircraft, frisbee, a portion of a camera lens cover).
At that point it is not a piece of an unidentified flying object, it is a peice of an identified flying object.

Whatever you make your piece out of, don't forget the hieroglyphic-like symbols! Very important to have good, mysterious symbols!

I just want it to look strange and baffle those who are trying to disprove it, I don't need it to be a 100% infalible hoax, they aren't going to tell the difference easily.

I also don't want to identify it, or at least I wont be saying how I made it.

As for the symbols, I'm pretty sure I could make something that look strange enough to be alien.

I don't have any dogs, as for access to one, I'm sure I could swipe one if I needed to.

Might be better to just use a tranqualiser (NOTE TO SYSADMIN: this spell check isn't working) gun so I don't have to touch the dog when getting it, do everything while its asleep.

Hmmmmm, checked the spell checker and it seemed to function as it's supposed to. Keep in mind that it merely highlights incorrect spellings. It does not actually fix them.

OK, so how am I meant to fix them then?

I couldn't really be bothered getting a dictionary out.
