Looks like the Pretzel won.

And Dubya stated how he believes we should all pray for a "spiritual shield" to protect us from the "evil doers", yet it can't even protect him from a pretzel.

"Life is but a momentary glimpse of the wonder of this astonishing universe, and it is sad to see so many dreaming it away on spiritual fantasy." [Carl Sagan]

I think Mr. Bush's "spiritual shield" has more to do with sattelites and laser beams, perhaps. Really, I never understood Christians in politics, anyway. Look at Ronald Reagan...He was the darling of the Fundies, yet was divorced, and brought a Psychic/astrologer into the White House. That astrologer must have been using the stars to discover Biblical prophesy, I guess.

Maybe the country needs a bit of Fundamentalist Christian power to fight off the Fundamentalist Islaamic power. Maybe we can send Pat and Jerry and friends off to fight for us with thier staffs of power throwing off blue fire to defeat the red fire of the Ayatollahs and Mullahs, (and forgive my spelling, I never saw those words in school...the Christians wouldn't let me).

I'd comment here, but this is a family board and there are ladies here.

There are? Really?

There is no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've known. Sagan

Bring back the Coliseum. Bring back the Circus Maximus. Although, I'm sure in a current re-incarnation of those institutions, you'd have to sigh a release form.

Go ahead James. If I think I'll be totally offended, I promise I'll cover one eye so I'll only be a tad affronted.

I dunno. That looks like a knuckle-bump to me. Did Laura get fed up and pop him one? Has anyone checked her hands? Or the kitchenware for DNA evidence?

Of more concern, I think, are all of those broken capilaries(sp?) on the rest of his phiz.

In short, I find pretzels and prayer shields a little far out. Perhaps someone here with medical experience can add to it. Alas, the 'prayer shield' will protect only a fundy's reputation, such as it is.

ROTFLMAO

Sorry to disappoint you all, but it does tend to just be a spur of the moment kinda thing. I'll just have to remember to just pour it all out next time.
