I just thought someone might be interested, if for no other reason than a good laugh.

I wonder what type of market share Animal Planet expects out of this trash, and is this lady for real?

Unfortunately, her breed has been around for a while. Let's face it, if JE and Sylvia sell, why not a pet psychic? It's about viewers and ratings. This will get those. Amazing that an intelligent species would actually speak to that anyway.

I can tell you what my dog thinks - FOOD!

There is no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've known. Sagan

Trish,
I saw this on the Weekly World News edition on sale at Jewel. It was so funny I almost bought it for the comedic effect alone.

I finally received a nice non-reply to my query:

"Thank you for contacting Animal Planet. We appreciate you taking the time to
share your thoughts and concerns with us in regard to our program The Pet
Psychic. They will be passed on to our program management and executives and
will be taken into consideration. Comments such as yours are very important to
us, as viewer opinions tell us what we can improve on and what our audience
enjoys. It is these types of comments that create change and improve
programming.

For more information about schedules and programming check our website,
www.discovery.com. If you have any further inquiries or comments, you may
contact us via e-mail or call us at 1-859-342-8439, Monday through Friday, 9
AM to 6 PM (ET). Thanks again for taking the time to write.

Sincerely,

No more than what I expected, really.

At least it didn't begin with "Dear Viewer,"

It didn't begin with "Dear" anything. It was just another form letter.
What pisses me off is that my husband and I really do enjoy the AP channel. (Now he wants a meer cat for a pet. Go figure). Anyway, I really torques me that this channel is starting to promote garbage like "Pet Psychic".
Animal behavior is facinating, and I'd really like to hear from experts, not some over-made-up doxy with delusions of bank accounts. What's even more sickening is that there are people who buy this stuff.
I could rant on, but there's a small dog attached to my foot. There could be blood in my future.

Lisa, I commend your effort in writing AP, but we all know that as long as the 'pet psychotic, er, psychic' retains a certain market share, she ain't goin' nowhere, Honey! It is nice to see your suspicions proven, though. Maybe, they can stick her in the same time slot as that Edwards guy on Sci-Fi. That way we'll have most of the whackos in the same place.

My child of somewhat skeptical nature also sent an e-mail to Animal Planet explaining that as a curious 11 yo she was more interested in animal behavior and medicine than animal psychic quakery.

She got the same letter Lisa did.
