No, Dave was at least sort of polite. Kinda. Insane, but kinda, sorta, polite. Joe is as rude as JW and a lot like He Who Must Not Be Named.

Why mustn't Piper be named? I've said his name many times since he's disappeared and nothing has happened.

Well, for me, being the skeptic I am, it's not that I think his name will magically conjure him or anything, it's just that I have horrible flashbacks and nightmares everytime I see his name... :-D

Didn't Piper or someone else also post under the moniker "He Who Must Not Be Named"? Anyway, Piper was a "tiny anomaly*."

*(That's a joke - Piper was fond of reducing computer graphics down to pixel size and claiming that the little pixel boxes proved the moon landings were hoaxed. Duhhh!)

I think they're talking about Lord Voldemort.

Don't tempt fate. I think he's just trying to lull you into a false sense of security. He's out there, lurking and waiting.

Does anybody know why Grapes is going off on me about the race thing? GEEZ...Am I paranoid in thinking he reminds me a lot of Computer Org?

He occasionally jumps on me, usually oddly arguing over something that I actually agree with, but have some questions about. He also likes to remind me that he "learned something" from JW. Grapes is always polite though.

Actually, IIRC, as the P...r era wound down there were a couple occasions where he was gone for several days, then reappeared when somebody mentioned his name... it generated a certain level of paranoia among those of us who reacted to the Player of Tuned Tubes much the same way one responds to fingenails on a chalkboard...

Yeah, lol, I remember I did that once, I said something like, "Boy, it's been nice without Piper for the last couple of days" and WHAM he started up his posting about an hour later... :)

I'm starting to feel the same way about Joe...

My take on this.

Yul, Caryn, and Dunash - the Larry, Curly, and Moe of Geocentrism and Creationism. They ain't even bright enough to know that they ain't too bright.

Prince - I can't decide if he's just a clever troll or sincerely deluded. It's kind of a shame because he isn't entirely stupid.

JoeTheBartender - complete troll. Ought to get back to tending his bar.

Hank Solo - my guess is he's a teenager or college student who's ODed on Stichin, Hoagland, and UFOs. Might still be some hope for him, but he's skating awfully close to the edge of trolldum.

I've gotten tired of 'fighting the good fight' with the geocentrists. It's almost like talking to a brick wall, only brick walls make more sense.

Hank is a different story. Just as I think he has half a brain he says something that make me think he's a near troll too. I've stopped posting on his threads too, but I might try again. He doesn't really want to learn either though ::sigh::

Well they do insist on calling the sky "the firmament" as if the objects in it were fixed upon the inside of a brick wall.

Once upon a time on the old BABB, there were a flurry of Martian Face posts, then someone discovered a picture of a "Happy Face" crater on Mars, and that brought the house down. Someone else also posted a picture of their face in black & white, made to look via Photoshop like it was made of sand, and positioned over the "Mars Face." That was most humorous!
