There is no way to answer any post, except the last post on the list, without having to copy the post itself, first, and then delete it. Perhaps some of the people who post here are not aware that they can delete the quotation and continue from there with new material.

With all respect ljbrs, Slater explained to Gorgo how to use the quote feature, yet he seems to not take the time to delete the section of the posts he might consider irrelevent to his answer. It is extremely confusing and irritating. It is especially difficult to decide to which part of a post he refers. I don't need a complete recap of the previous posts, I do need to know to which parts he refers. It's difficult to make a coherent reply when he may be referring to one sentence yet you must attempt to pick out that information.

Picky, picky. Some people don't have enough of a life but to post hundreds of messages and yet they don't have a few seconds to glance through a post. Give me a break!
It's helpful to others to see most of the post, people who don't have time to go back and look through so many to find the references. |

Picky, well my prerogative...
As for my life, my life. I also happen to read 525 wpm (yes verifiable as the last time I was tested) and I type approx 100 wpm give or take depending on the day.
Fine, your prerogative. But when one must form a comprehensive reply to an individual it is helpful to understand point for point exactly to what they refer. It prevents misunderstanding and actually facilitates the readability of the entire thread, IMO.
