The brand-new issue (4/02/2002) of Natural History magazine just arrived, and it contains an interesting set of articles.
It consists of three short essays by leading lights of the ID movement - Behe, Dembski, and Wells - with matching rebuttals by Kenneth R. Miller, Robert T. Pennock, and Eugenie C. Scott (respectively).
Also included is a brief introduction to the controversy by the editors, and closing remarks by philosopher Barbara Forrest.
All in all, it's a devastating critique of ID, with the proponents' positions thoroughly discredited by the rebuttals. But then, I could be a bit biased...
I recommend it as good ammunition for anyone who may engage in debate or discussion on the issue. If anyone else reads it I'd be interested in your opinion.
