"Shape of Life" on PBS - starting 4/2/02
(check local listings)

This looks like it will be a great series dealing with evolution and the origin of life on Earth:

Shape of Life

Travel to unexplored places in search of answers to fundamental questions about the origins of life on Earth. View video and photographs highlighting the series' explorations around the world, see examples of the eight biological designs featured in the programs and read biographies of the scientists. Plus, consult a glossary of terms, access guides, games and activities for parents, teachers and kids and more.

The Shape of Life was Sea Studios Foundation's first project. This compelling eight hour series and accompanying outreach materials, tells the story of the great diversity of animal life on Earth. The Shape of Life was produced by Sea Studios Foundation for National Geographic Television and Film in association with PBS. It will be presented domestically in association with KCET/Hollywood and be distributed internationally through Explore International. The Shape of Life premiers in the United States on PBS Tuesday, April 2, 2002.

Also the PBS series, "Evolution", will be rebroadcast on Tuesdays from May 14 through June 4, 2002.

"Life is but a momentary glimpse of the wonder of this astonishing universe, and it is sad to see so many dreaming it away on spiritual fantasy." [Carl Sagan]
