Nononono, it was your accusation, you should have had solid evidence before you decided to go public with it, right? In fact, you suggested in no uncertain terms that you have such evidence, just not in a "file" (whatever that means), so your current appeal for assurances that you are in error is dishonest on its face, isn't it?

No. I saw that the thread had been changed in that way, but I did not think it that unusual. Now years later, I still know that it got changed. It wasn't a big deal. I would probably never have mentioned it if you had not been trying to do a dance on me. |

No, it's a huge deal. You've accused me of something that I never did and never would do. All I have here is my integrity, yet you're saying that stripping that away isn't a big deal?!

CRUX aka MG aka ragland. You are making light of the situation. I don't want to see you banned ragland though I cannot find excuses for your behavior. This is the lowest you have ever sunk.
What is all this gamesmanship for. If you do not think SFN is a good forum for your type of discussions. Move on. Getting banned will only prove you lack the discretion to make the right choice. It will also prove everything I said to you privately is true.
At least stay or leave with some dignity intact. This childish stubbornness is pretty unbecoming of someone who after this ordeal thinks he can just turn around and be taken seriously.
Name one site that has taken your seriously.
Name one topic you came clean on anywhere where you actually knew what you were talking about.

Between my user-name and Avatar in each post (which does not conform to the standard title track progression), in the Creation/Evolution Forum presentation post, on the category page I'm listed as moderator of the Creation/Evolution section, and on the staff-page.
While being a moderator isn't the same as having ADMIN privilege, I'm still a member of the staff and not a nobody you can ignore, especially in the Creation/Evolution section of this forum.
Actually, before I noticed your outrageous allegation against Dave, I did in fact edit one of your posts. I did it here, in order to fix the quoting hierarchy you managed to mess up. Sometimes newbies (and oldies for that matter) gets their formatting wrong, or their hyperlinks too long, and as a favour I fix them. But I would never alter the contents of someone else's post.

But you don't have hard evidence? Then how can you be sure your own mind is not playing tricks on you? Some of the posts you've made in this thread is barely coherent. And that thread is more than 3 years old.
After I blurted out about revisionism, and DaveW seized on it, I did ask Kil how he knows there was no removal. I was not assured that the threads are secured.

We the rest of the staff are confident the thread has been left untouched. You haven't provided enough evidence to support your accusation of revisionism by Dave to make us question Dave's integrity. Your claim is extraordinary, so your evidence-burden is high. Your say-so isn't good enough, especially since it looks like sour grapes for loosing the phenotype argument.
If necessary, I could perform a "forensic autopsy of the database", where I could detect the absence of deleted posts. I would not be able to conclusively point out who made the deletions though. But that's a shitload of work which I am not prepared to do unless really have to. I spent 100 hours doing a postmortem on Skepticality's database when it had a partial crash back in 2006, and managed to bring it back, so this is not beyond my ability. |

Well that's the question, isn't it?
Being from the same city as MuhammedGoldstein doesn't make him MG's sockpuppet, but it definitly rises the possibility, especially since CRUX is so obviously fishing for a ban for trolling. But my station as Moderator doesn't give me the ability tell one way or the other, so I have to withhold judgement.
