YO:
If the voting goes tomorrow the way it's looking today, a large hunk of the 4th Amendment will be chipped-off here in this extended Orwellian era. Looks like telecom-conglomerates will be immune from prosecution for listening to or retrieving information of private citizens being communicated within the U.S. So sometime tomorrow or maybe the next day after the vote, after you've used the restroom, and pressed the flush lever on the commode, wave to the exchange of water taking place. It will be a metaphorical way of saying good bye to your right to privacy as it goes down the toilet. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I think there was some provision in the previous law (pre-Bush) that gives the telecoms some measure of immunity if they were following instructions from the justice dept, with a warrant.
I'm not sure if this new one up for a vote changes that or not, all the news channels have is just the typical tabloid bullshit arguments. So I can't tell if this one lets them get off free in civil court for no warrants.
