Haven't heard of this in the local news (but then again I don't read the local news)...can't say I'm shocked.

I laugh, but y'know, it's really kind of sad. It's sad that these people live under such stigma that they have to wear the face and join the ranks of those who would persecute them to maintain their careers.

I have no sympathy since usually these people are in the forefront of squashing rights. This particular person has championed making sex toys illegal in the state of Alabama.
And he doesn't like gay people much either
| The existence of the Gay/Lesbian alliance on this campus is an affront to the state of Alabama, its citizenry, this diversity and its students. However, it is also an outrage to compel those students with both moral and religious objections to the activities and ideas espoused by this organization to contribute money, via student fees, to subsidize these activities. |

The guy is something of an asshole, isn't he? But my above remark wasn't aimed precisly at him, but gay people in general and particularly professionals. They often find themselves in hidious quandries, damned if they do and cursed if they don't.
