Meet John Hagelin, Ph.D. Michelle ran into him while looking at the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace site. Lynch, as you know, is heavy into Transcendental Meditation as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who once hit on John Lennon's wife Cynthia, when the Beatles went to India to sit at his feet.

Anyhoo, here is John Hagelins Achieving National Invincibility A Scientific Approach for your consideration and approval.

This presentation is about an hour long and and if you don't take proper precautions it will make you pee in your pants, probably within the first five minutes. So relieve your bladder before watching this video. No bladder is In-VINcable...

(If you don't make it through the whole thing, no one will blame you.)

P.S. David Lynch is now on Michelle's shit list.

P.P.S. I could have put this in humor, but it really is pseudo science that is being promoted here, all humor aside.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Wow. That hurts. I can't watch more than a couple of minutes.

I didn't realize the Maharishi had died in February. Thankfully, before he did, he established the Global Country of World Peace.

I couldn't make it all the way through, I'm so ashamed. :(

That guy is about as crazy and funny as anyone I've ever seen. Hilarious diction. ("Extreme IM-potence" with the "IM" half an octave higher than the rest of the phrase.) Love all the references to the physics stuff -- especially quantum theory -- that he doesn't understand.

And why -- is it just me? -- does he somehow also speak like a pedophile would, were pedophiles to actually sound different from other people.

That was complete and utter gibberish.

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

You are free to believe what you want to believe and I am free to ridicule you for it.
