Get a load of this WorldView Weekend post

Comparing Obama's idea to the Hitler youth. Only in their messed-up minds.

They're ignoring all the historical facts surrounding the rise of Hitler's Third Reich, one fact among them is that the guy catered to the xians of his time!

Whether he believed in xianity I don't know, but the fact that he was able to use those people shows the point.

This is my reply to their feedback page:
Ok, I have to step in here...comparing Obama's set up to the "hitler youth"??

You have got to be kidding. Read some history and see just who Hitler was kow-towing to

http://www.nobeliefs.com/speeches.htm

Even if you don't like the web page, you need to look at the sources for the individual quotes. Or even read his book, "Mein Kampf".

Is there anything in Mein Kampf that is even remotely close to anything Obama has in his book?

If you want to complain about losing your rights, just look at the Patriot Act.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

I was looking for that Hitler quotes page the other day and couldn't find it. Thanks!

Here's another that gives a precise account of Hitler's life and career. An interesting madman, our Adolph.

Aren't most madmen?

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Of course, but some more than others.

Heh, just had a thought; doesn't this Worldview post reaffirm Godwin's Law? I rather think so.....
Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1] is an adage formulated by Mike Godwin in 1990. The law states: "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3]
What is it about the Nazis that we find so fascinating? In the final anyalsis, they were little more than ultra-conservative scumbags that managed to consolidate complete power over their country and did with it what these sorts of scumbags do.

They are the most perfect symbolisation of evil one can think of.

They are foreign and were defeated in a military victory. So the patriotic/nationalistic crowd can feel good about it.
They had a right wing ideology, so the liberal crowd can feel good about hating them.
There is little chance of offending anybody's grand-pa, as is the case if you are attacking local white supremacist group.
And, yeah, their crimes were truly terrible.

So they are easier and safer to demonize than any other groups...

Hitler & Co. was a one-trick pony that didn't last all that long. The churchs continue on.

I think that the major problem everyone has with them is that they were so efficient at prosecuting old hatreds against out of favor groups.

The Church has been at it longer, but for sheer body count, the Nazis were the most efficient at it. 13.5 million in 7 years.
