What on Earth? #56: Out-of-Place Building

(Note: I'm posting one more today, despite my best intentions. Good luck!)
The light gray building in the center, without a shadow of doubt, seems quite out of place in its otherworldly environment. (Just to show how out-of-place this building is, the coordinates given for it by Wikipedia indicate another structure some distance away, one that appears to be a water or fuel tank.)

For one point for each question:

1. Exactly what kind of building is it?

1. Where is it?

Mooner.....

This one deserves a bump to the top, and that's the main reason for this post. This is the best you have done - nearly impossible to decipher with the information given! I am currently examining both arctic and antarctic vistas, but to no avail, So far, Google is mute to key word entreaties. Good work, Moon -- don't give this one away with too much verbiage!

Thanks for the kind words, bngbuck!

Hint #1: Okay, let's slowly back away from this one:

Mooner.....

Well, if I don't guess, one of these quick kids will trump me.
Not nearly enough data yet, but I'm guessing the building is a radiation monitoring station at Lake Karachay, near Chernobyl, Russia

Even at the 8,000-foot scale, it could be anywhere along thousands of miles of arctic and antarctic coastlines. And that's assuming that the white stuff is snow and ice, and not (for example) salt. The next zoom-out ought to allow one to hunt this place down in under six hours. Maybe.

Time to switch tactics a bit. Hint # 3: The building is a place of worship.

That means it's a Starbuck's, in Iceland.

Nice answer. No points.

Ouch! That hurts. Again, with the no points. And be happy it wasn't negative points.

"Hint # 3: The building is a place of worship."
No clue to me. In the very first post (view) you can clearly see the shadow of the lower right building being that of a temple. I was going to post that in spite of your requirement for "Exactly", you had not specified which of the two buildings you were asking about but I let it shine because that's all I know and it's snow not salt. Due to the separation of the water and the white. Clue, the direction of the shadows, might help. SS

edited to be more "Exact"

There are only two types of religious people, the deceivers and the deceived. SS

"Temple" (along with a qualifying word) would form part of an "exact" answer, if it were a temple, which it isn't, so no.
