It must be for cantbe, because he can't back up anything he says. He's obviously got no expertise in any of the subjects he's brought up, and so any request for him to stop parading his ignorance around must be a trap. After all, he's here to edumacate us all about "true" science and "true" skepticism. How could we possibly doubt that, unless we're actively seeking to undermine him?

True skeptics, and I hope that's what we are, have to fearlessly go beyond conventional constraints and propaganda. So the only official records you'll ever find are obviously going to favor the status quo, defend what already exists. Protect themselves, protect their jobs.

If you are any example of a skeptic, then I'll gladly play a fool.
But you are not a skeptic, no. you strike me as one of those semi-winos you sometimes see on street corners wearing a sandwich board and croaking of Apocalypse. They too, shout without warrant.

Actually, I don't know why I'm here. All I really know is my regular morning routine. Turn on my puter, hope for a stimula that will cause me to respond, and hope what I say won't alienate me from you guys even more.
I don't know what kind of problems you guys have with yours, but it took me five attempts to get on the net this morning.

Skeptics will still need to go by evidence. Otherwise we're just fearlessly talking out of our collective assess. You're not a skeptic, you're just blabbing.
And that the "official records" obviously favor the status quo is pure bullshit. Read some actual scientific papers, lots of controversy there. |
