But just a glance at his Profile corrected those miscues:

I'm sorry, but you lost me on this one, Halfmooner.
Blame it on my youth and possible lack of (local?) cultural knowledge. Is there a tune to go with this, because I have trouble finding the rythm to make it flow. I like the story though. |

Precisely. "Big Bad John" was also a Johnny Cash song.
I naturally resisted writing such lyrics, which might at a quick glance seem, well, antisemitic. But Johnny Cash's voice (with backup) kept playing in my head like an earwig, substituting Jew for John, until I finally submitted to the possession and wrote the above lyrics. Then, finally, Johnny shut up.
Anyone offended by my lyrics should: 1) Look at the context, as the Big Bad Jew is the hero of the piece, and 2) Accept my apologies. |
