Looks like our guest was active about this time last year at the Skeptic Society Forums. This thread shows him sputteringly angry, and getting banned for it.
A guy named Ellard thought that le Penseur was merely plagiarizing Communion.
In this thread, he apparently answered some questions, but later deleted his posts (or, according to le Penseur, an admin deleted them). Also here is an interesting thread in which many of le Penseur's comments are themselves missing, but parts are conserved in comments by others. And again. And again. And again (that one seems oddly familiar, but has many more pages).
Here he begs for someone to delete some offensive topics he'd started.
More deleted comments here, but the thread strongly implies that le Penseur thinks that quotes by famous people about UFOs should be convincing. It also includes a really comical exchange between him and Ellard in which le Penseur tries and fails to defend his claim that in 1989, a certain UFO sighting didn't take place in Russia (a full recap of that can be found in this thread).
This comment is a doozy:You bigots defame and deride alien abductees in here every day, with abuse, slander, mockery and stereotype.
You're as guilty of bigotry and cultural hatred as any klan member or gay basher.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, twice. first for doing it, then for not realizing it was bigotry.
I'm the one saying, they're here, they're grey, get used to it, remember? Yes, he actually claimed that people mocking abductees made them just like Klan members. In le Penseur's mind, saying "I think you're deluded about aliens" to him was no different from burning a cross on his lawn and then lynching him. Mocking le Penseur was as morally repugnant to him as physically beating a gay person. He spent a lot of time last year, nailing himself to a cross, didn't he? (Yes, I know that comment was written on April Fool's Day, but he seems to not have noticed.)
Here is a thread in which le Penseur was justifiably pissed about being accused of being a sockpuppet (the admin who did it apologized), but in which he also says,...I have sent a detailed email to pyrrho [the admin] that will establish my identity, including details of my television interviews and video footage of alien ships I took that was shown nationally by CBS news, declared on-air to be "convincing evidence", and discussion of my family's abductions on CNN. And I guess I completely forgot about him saying the same thing right here:...eventually I did succeed in taking video of the aliens ships, I was contacted by a CBS affiliate that wanted to interview me and show my footage on the news, after reading about in on the front page of a couple of area newspapers. The news anchor declared my footage on-air to be "convincing evidence." My interview and footage were re-broadcast nationally by CBS, and I got calls from around the country. So the important question that we all seem to have forgotten to ask: can we see your video? Perhaps someone who's getting a friendlier reaction from him can ask him.
I'm not sure that I'd be proud that an anchorman thought some UFO footage was "convincing," though.
Oh, wait. This may be le Penseur (hat tip to bigtim if it is). I'd like to see the other six hours, 59 minutes and 45 seconds of video, too (heck, it's probably more, now).
Anyways, le Penseur displayed mostly the same behaviors over there as he does here. The stuff I found, above, was only skimming (though he only made 180 posts before getting banned). |

Filthy.....
I'm 'bout ready to give it up, buck. The thread has become all but endless and has generated not a scrap of useful information. I think I'll just go back to sitting on the Group W Bench for a while, and talk to the mother-stabbers & father-rapers. There, I might learn something.
| I kind of understand. The thread has become quite tedious. But LP has no grasp of CT, never will and never wants to. He has had an experience of some nature and he wants to talk about it. At least that was his position when he first OP'd. Since then, it's been damn near a repeat of my experience back in '07 when I first joined SFN. Maybe you remembered. I learned one hell of a lot about a lot of things from that go-round.
The sniping (some of it just for sniping's sake) has overwhelmed his ability to respond. And it will never end as long as he keeps retaliating in kind. You have been here much longer than I have, Filth, you must know how folks who come here with proof of jesus' golden balls, or Mary's immaculate vagina, end up here. Overwhelmed.
Face it, "Aliens" is a really nasty word to skeptics. Nobody gives a shit as to whether LP has had an abduction experience, because they know that he has not. I really have not formed an opinion and I will not until I hear a lot more of his experience with and knowledge of alien life. Yeah, I really think he might be telling the truth! Write me off!
But his proclamations must be addressed. Again and again. And again. It's a Skeptics Forum, for fucks sake!! And here's Buck proclaiming he wants peace on Earth, and then firing off something stupid to Dave like pointing out an ambiguous sentence. Is that peaceful? No, it doesn't make a lot of sense. (I had had a couple of nips of Scotch when I made that dumb post, but seeing as how you are undoubtedly a teetotaler, I know you won't excuse me for that reason.) Pop some corn and lay back (but for crissakes don't put up one of those fucking smileys.) |

One is that I know le Penseur "has had an abduction experience." Whether that experience was caused by aliens or not is a different question. Secondly, I know that le Penseur is unwilling and unable to provide an argument or evidence convincing enough for me to take him seriously. In other words, if le Penseur really were abducted, we won't be able to objectively discern the truth of it from him. It'd have to be someone else, perhaps even one of us, who will do the empirical and logical grunt-work necessary to make le Penseur's claims rise to the level of merest plausibility in light of modern science, because he refuses to do so.And here's Buck proclaiming he wants peace on Earth, and then firing off something stupid to Dave like pointing out an ambiguous sentence. Don't get pissed at us because he's not paying attention to you. Let's just all assume that le Penseur has heard you loud and clear by now and give it a rest. He'll call if he's into you. You shouldn't appear so desperate.

You are as insulting as le Penseur when you dishonestly accuse us of being unpersuadable. Several members have already made statements saying the exact opposite, in fact. Expressed an earnestness to believe, even. I certainly have never said that I know le Penseur has not had an abduction experience, nor would I ever say such a thing. But you seem to have this need lately to cast yourself in the role of the perpetually beleaguered agnostic who's only fault is to not be sufficiently close-minded enough to sit with the cool skeptics. Who are these histrionics supposed to be for? The regulars here all know you're full of shit, so I can only guess this is part of some elaborate ruse to get le Penseur "on your side." Or am I giving you too much credit? Is it possible that this is really how you see yourself? How you see us? How could you spend so much time here and still not learn the first thing about what skepticism is even about?

I started this thread saying I was treated very poorly and unfairly at another skeptics forum, davew, I even carried over the same name "le penseur" for continuity.
Both sites have their trolls, but I certainly feel I'm treated much better here, especially by Kil. The administrator at the Skeptics Society Forum behaved in a completely unprofessional manner, threatening me from the first post, accusing me of being some other poor sap who had wandered in there previously. I guess they couldn't grasp the concept that more than one person is certain aliens are real!
So, the admin starts threatening me, demanding I prove I'm not this other guy! Told me that when he proves that I am actually this other guy that he'll get me good, blah blah. Only trouble is; I'm not this guy. Eventually he was forced to apologize.
But his bias was obvious, he allowed really nasty attacks on me, but every time I replied similarly, Pyrrho, the administrator, would ban me from posting. I feel it was unjustified censorship. I was no longer allowed to speak in defense of my posts, the administrator banned me from any further posting. I felt if I couldn't speak or defend my posts then they should not be left up for futher attacks, so I began to remove my posts, as every member of the site has the right to do. As a final act of bias, the administrator even prevented me from removing my posts. It was all highly unprofessional, and I'm certain even Michael Shermer would agree.
In truth, some of what I said was rude and vulgar (as opposed to MUCH of what was said to and about me), and I regret stooping to that level.
I have tried to communicate in a more polite and efficient manner in this discussion, not always succeeding, which I regret as well. I much prefer this chatroom, which I feel is occupied and administrated by people more intelligent and civil. For the most part. Especially when I'm here! |

I stand by my statement one hundred percent, people who "defame and deride alien abductees with abuse, slander, mockery and stereotype" are "as guilty of bigotry and cultural hatred as any klan member or gay basher."
Where davew veers off into hyperbolic bullshitting is when he suggests that gay bashing means only physically beating a gay person.
Wiki : Gay bashing and gay bullying are expressions used to designate verbal or physical actions that are direct or indirect in nature by a person or group against a person who is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered (LGBT), or of questionable sexual orientation, or one who is perceived to be so, because of rumors or fitting gay stereotypes.
A "bashing" may be a specific incident, and one could also use the verb "to bash" e.g. "I was gay bashed." A verbal gay bashing might use sexual slurs, expletives, intimidation, or threats of violence — or it might take place in a political forum and include one or more common anti-gay slogans.
Gay bullying involves intentional and unprovoked actions toward the victim, repeated negative actions by one or more people against another person, and an imbalance of physical or psychological power.[1] Similar terms such as "lesbian bullying", "queer bullying" or "queer bashing" may also be formed.
In the early 21st century, gay bashing and bullying have expanded to include acts conducted over the Internet, or cyber-bullying, too, and these act can reach audiences electronically across a city or worldwide in an instant, giving them greater propensity for causing considerable harm. |
And as for The Ku Klux Klan, those despicable bigots have thousands and thousands of members, the overwhelming majority of which have never lynched anyone, or committed any violent racial attack.
You see, DaveW, bigotry and cultural hatred are not limited to the fists, hatred is in your mind, and it can manifest itself and cause pain in many, many ways. Maybe it's time you realized that.
It's not me "nailing myself to the cross". I can't, you're using the nails to hang your hat and coat on. |

And the hyperbole didn't come from me, it came from your comparison of yourself to groups who've had their rights severely and systemically curtailed due to the fear and loathing of the majority. Being criticized or mocked doesn't limit your rights in any fashion (especially since nobody has ever had a right to not be offended in public forums like those you have sought out), so your attempted identification with groups that have been oppressed is nothing more than a symptom of an outrageous persecution complex. Neither gay bashers nor the KKK got their reputations just for being verbally abusive. |

| You aren't part of a group which is "hated" for what you are or the beliefs you hold. You have been mocked as an individual because your claims are dubious and incoherent. So, yes, any comparison of your personal tribulations to those of historically persecuted minorities is nothing but self-aggrandizing whining. You aren't oppressed. You have had ample opportunity to present your views. But you don't have any right to expect these views to be accepted without criticism. If your efforts have been unpersuasive, you have no one to blame but yourself.

From an administrative point of view, your treatment here by Dave and myself has been identical. Dave hasn't banned you, threatened to ban you, or stopped you from posting anything you want to post. He may annoy you more than I do, but he has not once used his administrative powers to prevent you from making your case in any way. Bottom line is Dave has treated you as well as I have.

Truly shameful behavior. That you don't even see it only makes it worse.
We're here, we're grey, get used to it! | Wait, so you are a Grey now? Or do you merely mean that you stand in solidarity with their cause? Here's an idea. Why don't you gather all the Greys together and form a protest march. That should really help raise awareness of the fight for equality which you and your alien brethren so desperate seek.
Just so we can get a rough head count, how many aliens do you think will be attending? After all, it's pretty stupid to shout "We're here, we're grey" if no little grey men can actually be found.

You are a moron.
Thank you for proving it in public.
With this you have also demonstrated that it will never be possible to have any rational discussion with you. You have never been persecuted, never had your rights removed, never been treated by the government of any state or country as less than a regular citizen. You and other abductees have never been systematically deprived of any rights by anyone. There is no history of your enslavement, of killing you for sport, of beating you down...
Yet you step into skeptics forums, publicly, and make outrageous claims. You think that us making fun of you is hate speech?
