Oh come on le Penseur. I've seen the same kind of insults and incivility during differences of agreement over politics. Yes, those are insults. No, they are not hate speech. And you have tossed in a few insults yourself. I'm not in the mood to collect them all, however.
Now personally, I don't much approve of insults and incivility on these forums even though I have been guilty of tossing around a few insults myself. I often see them as crass, counter productive, infantile and bullying. But that's me. It's obvious that there are people here that don't share my view. That in itself is a running debate we are having here. But it's my guess that even when someone like Dude is dolling it out, he has no wish for any actual harm to come your way, psychological or otherwise.
Hate comes from a falsely perceived personal or national threat. The idea that some kind of harm will come to you if you allow (choose your bigoted notion) to move in next door to you. In order for speech to rise to the level of hate speech, one has to feel that they are in actual danger from those they level their vitriol (and sometimes worse) at.
I don't think those who claim to be abducted by aliens are all that threatening to anyone here.
In any case, insults happen all the time. That's the world we live in. |

Your statement here is simply incorrect. Incorrect by most nations, including the European Union's, legal definition of hate speech.
In fact, no nation with hate speech legislation and protections make any mention that a person committing a hate speech crime must feel in danger for his words to rise to the level of hate speech. |

And personal insults are not hate speech. Again, hate speech laws protect minority groups from persecution. None of the statues you quote apply to individual insults. Believing you have been abducted by aliens does not qualify as a "philosophy of life" for example. You are not part of any recognized protected class. Your accusations are meritless and would be laughed out of the courtroom by any judge who heard them.
You tenuous grip on reality extends to more than just delusions of interdimensional abduction, it would seem.
