Dude, you are so right he is a moron.
Crichton graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, researching public policy with Jacob Bronowski. He has taught courses in anthropology at Cambridge University and writing at MIT.
How did you do at Harvard Dude?
moron: a mildly mentally retarded person
I did not know that one only had to be mildly retarded to go Harvard.

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |

idiocy: extreme mental retardation
So, I have extreme retardation and Michael only has a mild form.
Good to know you determine the level of retardation based on the amount in which you disagree.

You are a fucking idiot because Crichton isn't qualified to speak about climate, yet he does, and you parrot his bullshit about MMGW being a religion. He gets his ass handed to him by the actual science of climate change, so he starts talking out of the gaping hole science has ripped in his ass, with insulting and imbecilic nonsense about religion...
Whatever. Hes a loser, and anyone who uses him as a reference for anything to do with climate is a fucking idiot.

Dude, we are talking about the religion of mmgw. Did you forget? He does have the authority to talk about the social structure of religion.
Do you now admit, he is not a moron?

Dude, I would recommend reading the post before you respond; it makes for a more reasonable conversation.

So since Michael Behe (PhD scientist in biochemistry) has made the assertion that Evolutionary theory cannot explain the biological diversity we see, you, Jerome, must now take Intelligent Design as fact.
Since Linus Pauling (Nobel-winning scientist in Chemistry) made the assertion that massive doses of Vitamin C can cure cancer, you, Jerome, must now take orthomolecular medicine as fact.
Crichton taught anthropology, which doesn't make him a scientist. He studied public policy after becoming a medical doctor, neither of which things make him a scientist. Teaching writing at MIT doesn't make one a scientist, and neither does graduating first in one's class at Harvard College.
He's not a medical scientist, an anthropolgy scientist, a climate scientist or a theologist. One has to actually do science to be a scientist, and Crichton only plays at that in his fiction. You've made several arguments from misplaced authority, Jerome, all in a single sentence.
And if you expect us to follow along, you'd better start being consistent in whose authority you follow. How you're going to reconcile Behe's pronouncements with, say, Kenneth Miller's is going to be interesting to watch. Perhaps your head will explode.
And I suggest that everyone else trot out all the misplaced authorities you can think of (besides Behe and Pauling, of course), so we can see just how many Jerome will parrot in future threads. |

Here are several examples of how Micheal Cretin blithely ignores facts that contradict his opinions. Like someone we know.
Crichton is just a hack writer who is getting lots of publicity by denying global warming among other things in order to increase the sales of his lame ass books.
Thank the FSM that he never took his boards and actually practiced medicine - he would have been the kind of egotistical evidence ignoring arrogant doctor that makes malpractice lawyers rich.
Instead he feeds his need to feel superior by criticising real scientists with a message that appeals to wishful thinkers.

I don't mind people having spelling problems. At one time, I was just as bad as any dyslectics, and actually had to attend special classes in second and third grade because of it. However, names of people do require correct spelling, or there will be mistaken identities. Please, make use of the information technology available. Ghost said "Crichton is just a hack writer who is getting lots of publicity by denying global warming among other things in order to increase the sales of his lame ass books."
Thats rich, because government would never publicity promote global warming to increase taxes.
Ohh, wait there are now carbon taxes.
I guess a successful writer needs to lie to sell his books, but government would never lie to increase taxes.
The double think exhibited is outstanding.

Dave, I did not realize that Cambridge allowed courses to be taught by people without authority and knowledge of the subjects that are taught.
Much be a lousy school.

Your inability to form complex sentence structure is proportional to your inability to think beyond ideology.
