You, looking at other woman but not acting on it says nothing about what your asking of gays. A gay man in a monogamous relationship lusting after other men might be a fair comparison. | Or another alternative accurate analogy is Robb having feelings for his whife, but should not have intimate relations (sex) with her, but live in celibacy. Otherwise he would act upon his sexual orientation, just as gays do, when they want relations.

| No.
| Probably not a surprise to you, but I disagree. The only thing you have to support heaven and hell is a firm belief. Even the text of the bible which tells that heaven and hell exist is only supported by a firm belief. In order to believe you must have faith, to have faith you must believe.
It really is a matter of belief. You believe it. I don't. |

Moakley, in a reading of the bible using the original words; hell is nothing more than a grave, and heaven is not a place in which man goes after death. These ideas were made up by religion to scam the people.

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |
