Amazing that so many skeptics that have no concern for their soul replied to this topic. If you can't come into the light you can at least try to stamp it out, right? Your attempts, however, are like trying to stop the light of the sun. You may hide yourself in the deepest, darkest cave, but the sunshine still exists and shines every day.
It is extremely hard for materialists who have rejected the concept that there is a spirit in man and a spiritual life in this universe, to come into any light about God. I have found in this forum that like rats who scurry about in the dark, so are skeptics that reject the idea that there is a God who made all things and knows all things. The rats stay together in groups in the dark environments, comforting themselves that their state of darkness is really light and truth as they shield themselves from certain realities of life: they will all die, they will stand before God and give account for their life (the judgment).
As they await that final judgment, they reside in a place called hell. Yes, their body will dry up like dust, but their spirit and soul will continue on, tormented in their minds which they thought were but random electrical pulses of a creature evolved for no purpose. The reality will slap them like a hot blast of Texas wind as you leave the air conditioned comfort of indoors. That supposed non-existent soul will continue on, only now their freedom to do and go wherever they like will be over. Like the criminal thrown in prison to pay for his crimes, so will each who has rejected God's salvation be thrown in hell, only that's just the holding cell, not the final end of his judgment.
It would behoove each of you to reconsider your place and sincerely seek for light while there is still time to find it. I didn't make this up or come up with it on my own. All of the description I gave you can be backed up with Scripture from various places in the Bible.
Meanwhile, those who listened to the words of Jesus and obeyed will discover all the promises of heaven and glory were real. Their struggle to overcome sin and unbelief by the grace of God and by their continued faith in God's Son whom alone bought and redeemed their souls with his own blood, will prove to have been worth it all as they continue in soul and spirit after death to the place known as heaven, where their is perfect liberty and freedom. Not to sin, as the skeptics and unbelievers surmised to be true freedom, but to continue in praise to God and thanksgiving as they serve him through eternity, helping one another to continue to learn to know and have fellowship with and obey God and his Son.
Such an eternity, however, would be a curse to the Skeptic who lived his whole life to please himself. Unfortunately, though the unbeliever comforted himself while in his state of relative freedom, that there was no eternity, heaven or hell, that will no longer matter as he or she continues on in hell, separated from the glory and blessing of God with Satan and his demons, just as he or she chose to separate themselves from anything to do with God in this life. In the life to come, the liberty that such people had as they continued under the grace of the Almighty, will be over. All the blessings and good things of life they experienced will be over. In hell there will be no king pin or networking like in today's prisons. Satan himself will soon find no resting place for his foot, and then, only the eternal fire of the lake of fire.
All the sins and wickedness that went unrepented by the skeptic will fall upon his head and all souls will learn of each persons crimes against God on the Day of Judgment. Nothing will be hid. The deepest, most secret thoughts will be revealed and broadcast to every being. But though the skeptic lived relatively free from fear in this life, the terror in the next will be unbearable, uncontrollable, and unrelenting.
Those means of soothing and searing ones guilty conscience will no longer exist: no liquor or drugs or sex or TV or friends or any enjoyments. The means to carry out his sins against God will be no more; only the thoughts of his mind and heart in a dark dungeon with fire, heat, and unbearable dryness will remain. All the things he should have done and didn't; all the evil he participated in thought and body, and how he despised those that warned him will be ever before him with no relief. The mercy he scoffed at and took for granted, taking what he didn't deserve and rejecting what he truly needed, will no longer be available. The grace that allowed him to live in a place where he could roam freely and explore the beautiful nature God created that would help him recognize the existence and reality of God will be no longer available.
Kind and just people who strove for righteousness on this earth and helped bring relative order will be forever separated from the skeptic in hell. No longer will they be an object of ridicule and scorn, but you will be. Those who followed God's Son in truth will be able to view you from above in hell from time to time. The hypocrites will be also be there in torment, the false professors of Christ who played at religion and used it to make gain in some way for themselves. There will be millions of them, but they won't be fooling anyone, any more.

Oh boy, Doormar is back. And, tell us then...what's the color of the sky in your world these days?
Here's the real god....

There are skeptics in the following story. Can you find them?
John 11:20 - 48 (NKJV) 20Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” 28And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but £was in the place where Martha met Him. 31Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, £saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.” 32Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. 34And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” 35Jesus wept. 36Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” 37And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?” 38Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41Then they took away the stone £from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” 45Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him. 46But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did. 47Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. 48If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”

If you wish to engage in a reasonable discussion, you must believe there is such a thing as reason and logic. The laws of logic exist only in the realm of the mind. They are laws of thinking or how to think and reason correctly. They cannot be proven in a physics or chemistry lab. The evolutionist or materialist by definition rejects the laws of logic, yet attempts to use them in discussion. How is that possible? But what is possible and what is not possible is irrelevant to the materialist, only that things are as he or she sees them. Right or wrong, true or false has no real bearing on the materialist. Such things can't really exist without the exceptance of logical thought which proves that such things exist.
Your trite comments have no bearing on the discussion, but are simply an attempt to trivialize a discussion that is very weighty in concept by ad hominem attack. You obviously have no answer or thought relevant to the discussion else you would take the time to read and think about the issue. But, whereas, you reject laws of logic and reasonable discussion you are forever doomed to mindless, illogical comments that are arrogant and abrasive in nature, attempting to belittle the one you attack and inflate your own ego or pride. Such is the nature of a sinful mind and heart and evidence of the very reality or presence of sin you refuse to believe you have and the reason why a caring Creator wants to redeem you from your fallen, darkened state. |

Things are good, Kil. Thanks for asking. Work is very slow as a contractor, but hoping for a change soon, as weather breaks.

Doomar, I walked away, bored to tears, from religious fantasy/drivel discussions many decades ago. You'll have better results proselytizing to a doorknob. |
