Ol' Johnny McCain, he's got him some work to do. Huck knocked him down and walked all over his face in Kansas.
It looks like Bob Dole's support didn't do much for the GOP frontrunner.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will win the Kansas Republican caucuses, CNN projects.

With 76 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee had 62 percent of the vote, compared with 22 percent for Arizona Sen. John McCain and 11 percent for Texas. Rep. Ron Paul. Kansas has 36 delegates at stake Saturday.

Saturday's Republican contests in Kansas, Louisiana and Washington could predict whether the party will line up behind McCain as their candidate or provide Huckabee with an opportunity to zing the presumptive nominee.
Looks to me like Mac just got good and zung already. But then, it's not really that big a deal. This is, when all is said & done, Kansas.

But McCain doesn't need this shit, not because Huck is likely to take him out, he won't, but because it'll give the Huckster a lot of leverage at the convention and in the party, and he'll have to listen, if not kowtow, to him. He really needs to wipe the privy floor with Huckabee in any remaining contests.

Ain't this primary season just a hoot? I'm loving every minute of it!

The Huckster is going to win the rest of the crazy fundie states. It won't matter though, McCain will be the nominee. Huck is shooting for the VP job though.

If McCain (god forbid) would be elected president, which of the rest of the candidates would be the "best" VP candidate (from a skeptical US point of view, and from a skeptical World point of view)?
Which would be the worst VP?

Huck would be the worst. All the rest of them would be bad...

That's a good question that has no good answer. Whoever McCain picks has to be suitable to the rank & file Republicans as well as the religous whackos like Dobson. I'm wondering about it myself.

I've heard Mark Sanford, gov of South Carolina mentioned, but really don't know much about him. Any of the current campaign dropouts are not acceptable.

Best from the country's point of view: Sen. Chuck Grassley, who will never in this world get the call. He's not enough of a scumbag for the religious whackos (and from their point of view, too much of one).

Worst: Huckabee, America's Mayor (can't spell the name), Romney, Jeb Bush, Charlie Crist, Little Red Hen, and so forth. Actually, the chicken should probably go in the 'Best' catagory.

The Republicans have slim pickings indeed.
