| Saw it on the weekend. As long as you don't take it seriously (stirrups 12,000 years ago?!) it's a fun romp. And Cammila Belle is one sweet bit of eye candy. I wuz kinda hopin' sheeda got nekkid. |

Stirrups? 12,000 years ago? I don't think so, as in those more practical & perhaps, arguably, even more civilized days, the horse was an entre, not transport.
So we'll just have to write it off to fantastical nonsense and, perhaps, enjoy it in the spirit of Pirates of the Carribean.
Again a pity, though. Enough is known of the times that a real rip-snorter could be produced and still be reasonably accurate.

But that would require actual research which is another word for work, which is uncomfortable, takes time, and costs money. If you can entertain and make millions without all that trouble, why not? |

So true, so true. So sad that the entertainment industry is ruled by a stable of industrial whores pimped by advertisers, themselves whores of the lowest degree.
On the other hand, I greatly enjoyed the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy. And at least some research was done; all of the hand weapons were historically accurate.
