(I have no problems with his acting. Bull Durham is one of my favorites.)
He is kind of cute, I can watch him just for that.. Maybe he is a good actor, it must be the style, just doesn't seem like he's saying the lines naturaly. Bull Durham was just on TV a few days ago, caught a few sceens of it while clicking around the channels. All I saw of it was some guys kept beating each other up, not the cool kind of action like in 'Indiana Jones', nothing of interest for me. Tim..... I forget his name now, was in it too. Wow, he was cute back then. I didn't think the movie was that old but he looks so different now. Too bad he's a political liberal from what I understand, at least his wife is. Is that where they met, doing that movie?

Bull Durham is definitely worth a watch. It's got some great lines: "You couldn't hit water if you fell out of a fucking boat", "He fucks like he pitches ... kinda all over the place", and the "I believe ..." speech. And if you ever call out the wrong name in bed, this movie will teach how to get out of trouble (somewhat).

Tim Robbins, and, yes, that's where they met. And yep, he's quite the liberal. Have you seen the movie Bob Roberts?

One would think that Rivera and Springer would qualify for at least honorary redneck status. As I have stated on another thread, my old dad used to tell me something back in the days of the real America (this was before the creeps took over, when Kennedy was president and dinosaurs roamed the earth), and that was that a man is judged by the company he keeps. I think it follows that he could also be judged by the class of people he panders to.

Nope, sorry Wiley, still doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in seeing. And calling out the wrong name is no longer a fear of mine, ha ha. I've given up messing around a few years ago.

Ah, Damn....there's always something wrong with the cute ones. I wanted to see that movie, don't think it's been on TV yet. I'll have to wait. I did see the one where he invented the hula hoop, although it was a long time ago, I remember liking that movie. And one of the only good Steven King movies(yes I know it's not like the book), which just happened to be on the other night again that Robins is in, 'The Shawshank Redemption', liked that one too. Bought a copie of it so I could get the autograph of someone I know who's in it. I think Robins did a good acting job in that one.

Yes, 'Birds of a feather.....' That's a good way to look at things too. But sometimes people have to do things in their life that compromises their ethics in order to keep a job, etc. Haven't you ever had to make a difficult decision, to tell a little lie or pretend to go along with something or someone to get what you wanted?

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Erasurehead" or any Dune movie. Second worst of mine are any movie/cartoon by Baski.

Argh! It's been close to 20 years since I saw that movie and I still can't shake the image of those little baked chickens that started moving when they stuck a fork in them. Thanks a lot for bringing that one up.

Is that the one with the gay electronic pop band trying to make it in a post-apocalyptic world?

I thought it was the best part of the movie! It was the only part that made sense! :)

Guess What I just got? I'm so excited I wanted to share, with someone I thought would understand. I just came back from the used book store, I went there intending to get only one or two books on one subject, ceramic glazes. Yea right. Good thing I didn't take too much money with me. I even had to put two books back on the shelf, not enough cash on me. Anyway, as I walked in I saw a bin that said post cards, never noticed that before. As I was looking through it I found: 'Mad Doctors, Monsters and Mummies!' a collection of large post cards in a book. All the old monsters movie posters, so cool. So here's some more titles to add to this list. Did anyone mention or remember: 'The Tingler', The Mad Ghoul', Tarantula', or 'The Thing That Couldn't Die'? And we can't forget 'The Revenge of the Creature' sequel to 'The Creature of the Black Lagoon' which we all know was clips put together from what was left on the cutting room floor from Black Lagoon. There were a few I'd never heard of too. Do you know these: 'Black Zoo', 'The Dead One', I think it's subtitled Exotic Voodoo Rituals. ps. Even though it's in new condition, I think I over paid for it but I had to have it.

Tarantula - is that the one with the giant tarantual that attacks the town or the one where all the spiders decide to create a giant web out of the town? I've seen both, and I'm still terrified of spiders.
Does anyone remember that really bad movie - 'Day of the Animals'?

I didn't know there were two movies with the same name with reguards to Tarantulas. The post card poster shows a giant spider attacking people. Caption: 'MONSTER SPIDER, crawling terror 100 feet high!' Staring John Agar.
'Day of the Animals'? Never heard of that, only 'Day of the Triffids'.
