Whew, I'm glad you locked that last one. 20 pages can get mighty intimidating

Lisa(or whomeverr else goes to and/or posts at SDMB)-
I was able to read just the first page of Pipe-up-his-butt's thread. For some odd reason, there wasn't a link to any more of the pages in that thread.
But, I was able to gleam from that first page was that the people who do post at SDMB don't care what you bring or say, just back it up, because the majority of the posts on that page were all asking Pipe-up-his-butt WTF he was talking about with his picks.
[Wayne voice]Excellent.[/Wayne voice]
BTW, Lisa, you could've let the thread go for about 12 more posts. Woulda gotten a full 20 pages out of it. But just MO.
The way I see it, christians are godless too...they just don't know it yet.

I cheated and went straight to the last page of the SDMB thread after it was locked. I thought maybe there had been a resolution to the argument. Not one of my more lucid moments.
As for this board, we'd decided on 20, and I knew I'd be away for most of the afternoon. You'd be surprised how quickly the pages can fill up if folks get well and truly pissed. Anyway, I wanted to gets pics of the look on Megan's face when he Dad and Stepmom presented her with a car. Lisa

I only missed one day on the web and you all shot the BABB 02 from 16 to 20 pages. Yikes!
Sorry to hear about the BABB (the real one). I guess I missed that too.

*Falls prostrate and kisses ground at BA Bitch Board*
Wish I'd found this place sooner...wouldn't have driven my mom and sister nuts with the Piper Problem (and my take on the latest JW posts) this last week.
Great place to be 'meta-cognitive' about the "real" BABB. Especially since Phil shut that down for a few days. Gee, I'd have to spend time in real life activities if it weren't for SD and SFN!

Either a lower driving age in South Dakota or she's getting a car to practice in and then keep. Beats bugging the parents for a ride everywhere.

If SD is like Kansas, you can drive most places at 14. (In kansas you need a liscensed passenger unless it's to work or school) (and on private land I'm not sure there is a age limit, i drove my uncle's truck at 9)
I know, I know, country folk... :)

Yes, kids can get a restricted license at 14 in South Dakota. She can drive by herself until 8 at night. Interesting, her Dad told me SD was the last state to even require a driver's license. They started issuing them so residents could quit getting popped with heavy fines when they went to other states. Remember, if you live in a large city, you have a bigger population that this entire state. I forget which board it was on, but someone was complaining that to do any decent stargazing, they had to drive over an hour. All we have to do is step outside. Lisa

Lisa, I know what you mean about dark skies. It is one of the reasons I moved out in the country. When I got electrical service I requested that they NOT put in one of those (expetive) mercury vapor yard lights. Although most (if not all) of my neighbors have them, the clearing that I call my yard is completely surrounded by high trees, so they are not a problem. KK

Well, although I live in a state not much more populated then SD, I do live in Prison City, dammitt. The lights of the Kansas State Prison can be seen for miles and miles and miles, and I live a mile from it :( Not to mention the Federal Prison (about five miles), the Marshall's prison (about three miles), and the Armies DB (about seven miles), all lit up like they are, well, prisons :) And top of that the Kansas City Internationaal Airport is just across the river.
Even then, the skies are pretty dark around here, not like out west 15 minutes or so, but still not bad...

Yippee!! A brief question, though. Will you be doing anything about the more obvious trolls? Perfectly good threads get trashed when one pops in with the usual drivel. Lisa
