I'm glad Slater answered that one. When I read it last night, I really tried to post a response. I'd start out reasonable, and the whole thing would just turn into a flame. I guess we all have "hot buttons", and I think Jar Jar managed to find a few of mine. There's still a small tendril of smoke escaping my left nostril.
Lisa: hope you didn't manage to burn too much hair! I know I singed the ends of mine. I too tried replied without flaming, whoops! Another spark just flew.

Conspiraliars and raving dogmatists (or are they godmatists?).
The former are of the species Caudex apollinis.

There there, Rift. At least Jack White has been booted by BA, and we haven't heard from Piper for a while. I may have to go and surf Hoaxland's site for a fix. Things are looking up. Go surf NASA for a while, you'll feel better.

I dunno... seems like we got a couple more idiots on the board. Maybe not as bad as Jack White and Piper, but annoying none the less. That JCrowell is especially irratating.

Yeah, he's irritating, but folks seem to be stepping on his neck pretty well. Question: Anyone know when BA will get the Bad Creationist Astronomy page going? I can't recall ever seeing a projected date. I know BA is busy. Notice the threads are starting to appear randomly again? I printed out all the information I need, because I have a feeling we're in for another board wipe.

I couldn't help but notice that there was a new Mars Face photo mentioned over at the BA board. And someone had to mention Photoshop, too. After a little messing around it looks an awful lot like Jesus. Well sort of, if you squint.

OMG that's funny. You HAVE to post that on the BA board, lol.
If you don't I will, lol.
You have to be careful though, It might end up on Hoagland's site...

ROTFLMAO!!!! YES!!! Post it over there! Oh and Rift, I'd do it myself, but I certainly wouldn't want to screw up the threads any more than they already are. Right? "Nine inch nail", that was sooo bad. Rubysue, where are you?! Lisa

Lisa, Rift you guys really don't want BA chewing on me again do you? I don't think he'd like me entering the discussion.

When did BA chew on you Trish? Have you been following the ribbing Rift has been giving Rubysue and I over posting links? Okay, admittedly we were a little "internet challenged" when we first tried to post. I don't know what difficulty Rubsue was having, but I can solder microcircuits better than I can boot a computer. Add to that enormous fingernail length. "Bloody stupid" is probably in there somewhere too. New subject: Acting on suggestions at the BA board, I found an Astronomy club in my area, and now I've been invited to a star party on 08 June! Now just hoping for nice weather, right now it's 38F and cloudy. My poor husband! He's going to get back from Oman to find I've become geekier than I already was. He's an Ammo troop, and you know what they're like. Lisa ps - If Rift keeps teasing Rubysue and I, feel free to wade in. If this upsets BA, keep it here. Lisa

BA was upset with the whole abortion think I think. Upset some others too. Right before he wiped the board. Maybe chew is too strong more like smack the fingers.
Gave up the soldering thing a while back. Try soldering on top of the folded wings of an airplane with the Santa Anna's blowing. That's a trick in and of itself.
Oh well, hasn't geek become sexier in this age?
Ammo Troop, is that anything similar to grunt?
The only contact I had with the AF is through my dad...a jungle survival instructor and at Elmindorf (?) for Amalgam Warrior 88 and Kadena. Landed at Kadena about 1830 on Thanksgiving day. No one there to meet us, waited nearly an hour before the OOD showed. We were ready to crack MREs for dinner and he said Hell No and had a chow hall opened for us. Always liked eating on AF bases, good chow. They had a real turkey! And Elmindorf served Cornish Game Hen. You all ate well. Better than baked chicken, followed by fried chicken, followed by BBQ chicken at the end of the month.

Trish, I just wrote to my husband and told him about the star party. I'll ease him into this gently. You know, the guy is 5 years younger than I am, but he can be such an old woman sometimes. Ah, Ammo troop. I should have explained. The guys over in the ammunitions career field can be well...gosh, I don't know how to put this. How about "unrestrained"? Look, after Ed's going away party, I never have figured out who's underwear was on my deck the next morning. Did you know you can get 10 people in a 6 person hot tub? Do you see my drift here? I don't think BA was pissed at you for that abortion episode, he was pissed at the guy who started it. I mean, equating science research with abortion rates! What an a**h*le. I almost burst into flames myself. Lisa

Ammo troop, that would then be similar to our EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal)? Had friends in that field, they definitely know how to party. Think it has to do with knowing they could blow up tomorrow. Actually I think we stuffed a similar number in a similar sized hottub. I took two guys thru the porch railing after they tossed me in. (I don't like water.) Anyway, one ended up with a broken nose and the other two broken ribs. Whoops, did I do that? Guess that's just me and te-kill-ya.
Think BA might've been upset with the whole abortion issue being brought up period. My initial response was to flame, but I did hold back on the subject. Yeah, a**h*le pretty well describes him.
Think it was DJ or JW. Ever notice how JW contradicts himself at almost every turn when someone slams him?

Well I don't mind water, but I'm still trying to figure out who was playing with my leg. My husband was not in the tub at the time. Yeah, JW is so slick he'd slide uphill. I think the one that offended me the most was that "Jcrowel" (sp?). That whole NASA=NAZA=NAZI was not funny. He backed down when the slamfest got underway, but what on earth was he thinking? Since my last name has "von" in it, I was just a little peeved. Lisa Oh, and by the way Rift, I've posted two links on BA today with no problems. Woo-hoo! High fives all round! Thankyou, thankyou, no really please, thankyou. L
