John F. Kennedy Speech, April 27, 1961

http://www.archive.org/details/jfks19610427

4:50 to 7:50 very interesting

9:00 to 12:00 very interesting

I do enjoy his melodious voice.

Before I was educated, I did not like JFK based on false descriptions. My assumptions were incorrect on many levels. His father is a different story.

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell

What's to comment on? You found some things "very interesting" and you like his voice. Why should anyone care about your interests or your aesthetic sense?

Wow. Can I get the 3 minutes of my life back I wasted listening to the first part of this "very interesting" speech?

No, but what did you think of the rest of it?

Why would I listen to the rest of it? The section you labeled as "interesting" was anything but.

I think JEROME just likes the "rush" of being replied to. I think thats why he posts so many dumb things: to get the attention. I gotta admit I also enjoy the attention when someone replys to one of my posts, but I'm not going to make myself look foolish to do it. JEROME doesn't seem to mind.

More like the "rush" of conversation. Attention has never been a desire of mine.

Did you listen to the speech?

Well, I found JFK's 4/27/1961 press corps address to be quite interesting as it did point out a quote he said that I had attributed to Gerald Ford.

As we can hear in the sections he labled as other than interesting, JFK was pointing out the balance point between National Secruity in a time of war and freedom of the press. He clearly indicates he's for the press being a watchdog for the government.

I found his claiming of secret societies that are the true enemy of America a most interesting revelation.

I believe he was referring to the KKK as a secret society. Not what usually NWO conspiracy nuts think about Freemasonry or Skull and Bones.

Do you not research history at all?

What make you think he was talking about the KKK? Was the KKK a worldwide conspiracy?

He also referenced Communism and made comments alluding to La Costa Nostra (Mafia).

Since his administration was at the forefront of civil rights, the KKK was a priority. His administration (specifically his younger brother RFK) also battled organized crime (Mafia).

The Mafia can be called a worldwide conspiracy.

Again, have you never studied history?

I have studied much history.

JFK talks about a threat of totality to every sphere of human activity from secret societies, secret oaths, and secret proceedings. This does not fit with the mafia as the mafia did not and does not effect in totality every sphere of human activity. This does not fit with communism, as communism is not a secret; in fact it is open and lobbied worldwide as an ideal.

From your response, no, you haven't studied American history.

You are unreasonably requiring one secret society being responsible for the statement when, in context, he is clearly meaning that the totality of effect from these secret societies (American Communism in the 1960's was still under the Red Scare stigma and was a secret society within America) reached to every sphere.

And the secret oaths and secret proceedings are NOT related to the secret societies at all. In 1961, you had the workings of the Soviet government in secret proceedings, Anti-trust problems, and a myriad other aspects of the Cold War which had detrimental effects.
