Actually I didn't see that one coming... DOH! "let's put our top secret plans to explore this thing on CNN" I guess I don't think cranky enough yet...
I seem to remember a funny discussion about that over at BA. Didn't someone put that up with a "don't let Piper or Hoagland see this" type of heading? Wonder how long it will be before the painting of ancient Egyptians using the computer will show up on Conspriacy Dave's site? I'd love to see a timeline on everything that Hoagland has believed over the years. First it's a face..no a face with cities..a face with cities and more cities nearby..oops, it's a lion......

I think I made the crack that I could see Hoagland at the end of the trail with a souvenir stand selling crap, but I truly didn't see his accusation of it being an actual NASA plan coming... DOH! I guess that's good, I don't think Hoagy enough...

And to be sure, if you ever do, we'll hunt you down. Seriously, Hoagie can take absolutly anything NASA releases and twist it to make something else. I gotta admit, if I worked to NASA, I'd be tempted to cook something up just for fun. Guess that's just my sense of humor, sorry. Lisa

I would dearly *love* to be a part of something like that...d'ya think we could pull off a 'hoax trap'?

I was thinking of blowing up the picture and adding passing/no passing lines in the middle of the trail. Safety first! Some of those curves look mighty dangerous! Maybe a few crossing signs. Gotta take care of the local wildlife. His "collasped butresses" in the southeast part of the mesa would be a good place for a replica of Mount Rushmore. "America was Here!". Haven't decided where to put the Golden Arches yet. Lisa

Restrooms should be every klick or so. Remember the amount of water it takes to walk to the top. A nice addition would be a cable car. It not only affords a wonderful view, it would make the journey handicapped accesable! A visitors center with a tourist board is important. Ever try to find a decent B & B in a strange town? Lisa
Is this getting a little silly?

My brother says if he ever wins the lottery he's going to spend a lot of it on ufo hoaxes. Fly black blimps over Art Bell's house while trailing a glowing flying saucer behind, stuff like that. He's promised to hire me as scientific advisor :)
I've also had military friends (Which one of you is the zoomie?) that said they would buzz places they knew had "ufo watches" out and such.
It's like that "Fraizer" episode. If any of us were Glenn, I reckon ALL of us would take them up on that :)

Oxygen! Don't forget Oxygen!!! We have to be handicapped friendly too...
Which, I hate to get off an non-serious topic (lol), but in Hoagwash's latest he says that the underlying object (he says the face is a giant arcology) is slowly rusing away, and that's why it doesn't look much like a face anymore... ummm, Richard... uh, where is the oxygen coming from???

I'm suprised NASA aren't saying that Cydonia needs investigating and could in fact be artifical, afterall they might acutally get some money for a mars mission if they do.
Maybe their just too damn honest.

I actually think, that the fact that NASA is not using the MARS FACE to justify the exploration of Mars, is a proof that they are attempting to cover something up.
It otherwise could only be explained in terms of ethic and professionalism.
- Lars (I am believing in the more likely explanation)

Well not using the mars face would mean they don't get to go there.
Or so they can claim.
Or maybe they don't want to take money off people who would only have the money taken off them by someone else by lieing to them?
Damn morality can get in the way.

Zoomies? That would be Ed and I. (Shadowman and Lisa) I was an electronics troop, so I'll take care of any neat lights and sound you'll need. Ed's in ammunitions, he'll provided the cool pyrotechnics. A little chaff and flare would liven things up nicely. If you're talking Bell and Hoagland, our only problem will be keeping Ed from using live ammo.
