Yeah, there's a down side to everything.
BTW, I find myself caught in a thread to which JW is contributing (I use the word loosely). Yikes!

Alas, me too. Tell yas what, thou, think it was in the seventies, they came up with a method to supress the contrails. It was a big deal at the time, me remembers, the method, dunno nor really care, some additive me would guess. Perhaps the power of sugestion, a couple of years ago, there did seem to start being alot more of them. Of course there is a heck of alot more flights as well, but was tink'n that maybe the Air Farce had stopped using "it" for some cost saving reason, if they ever did on regular training flights. Do me tinks the contrails equals chemtrails, of course not. Just a thought...

The B-2 Spirit ("stealth bomber) uses chlorofluorosulphonic acid to suppress contrails. http://homer.span.ch/~spaw2879/aircrafts/B-2-uk.htm This is a pretty expensive process, and likely to attract environmental opposition if it were widely used. There would be no reason at all to do it with commercial aircraft, which, of course, also leave contrails.

Mmmmm, that's interesting Piltdown, thought it had to be something like that, thanks. The effort of me point was an attempted explanation for an increase in contrails. Had the military been using it and stopped, for eviromental or more likely cost savings, there would have been a noticeable increase. Dunno, just a thought.

I dont know about you but the perseids were pretty good from what I saw. I got up @ 03:00 to see that it was still raining on the 11th. Now I'm starting to think that we will have better luck on the leonids. I got some pictures of last years shower @ this site: http://leonid.arc.nasa.gov/meteor.html

No, no Perseids this year. Can't get away from the city, even *if* the clouds would let up. Maybe next year.

Ed and I stayed up pretty late last night to catch the Perseids. We we're able to see a couple of really beautiful show-offs. I wish I could have stayed up later, but I really wasn't feeling 100%. Yesterday, Ed, Megan and I went to the Ellsworth Airshow. Megan had enough sense to put on sunblock with a backhoe, but I'm afraid I'm a little denser. ::Sigh:: Maybe tonight. Lisa

Funny/strange post from the recent "Iceman" troll tonight at BA. Never know when these guys will decend from orbit. Always am quick to post a knee-jerk response but usually let it ride a bit. Anyone notice how this guy and Piper have similar (crude) writing styles? Wonder if all those guys came from the same alma mater or....bar/construction site?

I hope he sticks to his "I won't post here again" statement. Although if he doesn't, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks who will be glad to remind him. For someone who claims to have an EE degree, he didn't seem to bright. Good riddence. BTW, what is it with this Nonny character and moons? Lisa

I think this might actually be Nonny's way of preaching! Quick, post, don't look at what they respond with! Might cause Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt! And young Nonny should henceforth burn in hell.
I'm allowed my own crackpot theories thank you. Those Piperisms brought back memories ;) I think 2 were in response my first postings! (reminisces)

I can't wait for BA's new BB to get online.
