Only posted a few times????? That asshole has been a thorn since I stumbled upon the BA Board about 5 months ago!
He lays low for a while, then shows up with his drivel. JPEGs dripping with artifacts, some JPEGs obviously altered, insults, threats, warnings...AAAHHHHGG.
YES! When the BA gets his new software, there will be much rejoicing.

Spoq's true intentions are apparent now since he spelt it G-D. I had my suspcions.
I use to go in AOL chat rooms and taunt the Fundies by typing G-D, J_s_s, and the H-ly Gh-st. pissed them off for some reason, lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Rubysue say she wasn't gonna post over on BABB anymore?

Yes, and it's too bad. I really enjoyed her posts. Her last exchange with Piper did it for her. Can't say I blame her too much, he was really nasty. I hope that when the BA gets his new software she'll come back.
The problem (as I understand it) is that he can't delete a specific post. The whole thread has to go. So if we're having a nice discussion on say, travel within the solar system and a troll pops in with drivel, (you're all in denial!!) the whole thread is lost.

Major design flaw if you ask me.
I would also like to have a registration over there. That way he could ban idiots like Spoq who refuse to listen to him...
BTW I throughly enjoyed the BA raking Spoq over the coals.
Geesh, we have some peices of work in our regular trolls... JW, Spoq, Piper...
(Although JW isn't really a troll, he has his lucid periods...)

Me thinks thou dost protest too much.
Considering all the responses that Piper posts generate at the BABB and all the discussion they generate here, don't you think that maybe, really deep down, you like having the occasional troll pop up on the BABB? The logical response to such a post is to ignore it. A response, any response, is just what the troll is looking for. You know this to be true. And yet you respond. (I have even done this myself  ). It's like picking at a scab. You know you shouldn't. You know the outcome will be painful and bloody and possibly infected. But...you...just...can't..help it.
I suspect it's an ego thing. Usually when I read the BABB I feel a little out of my depth - particularly when the discussion turns to subjects like Quantum Physics and Relativity. And then, just as I'm starting to feel like the kid sleeping at the desk on the back row, up pops a troll! Alright! Just the ticket to make me feel smart and clever. I blast his tortured logic. I pounce on his ridiculous evidence. I feel morally superior in the face of his blatant egomania. Yes, I can just feel the old self esteem shooting up,up,...and away!
Sorry. Got a little carried away there. But you get my point?

Which brings us to another topic Trish and I have discussed. What exactly, if anything, do you guys want us to do as moderators if any of the aforementioned Trolls show up here? Of course threats and downright abuse will be deleted, but what about run of the mill Piperesque blathering?
Enough folks have put the SFN link on BA, that it's bound to happen sooner or later.

I am very comfortable with leaving that decision to the two of you. I guess it would depend upon whether it was a post&run (I'd delete), or whether it was a 'revisited' thread (I might leave that on).

It's not that I like trolls popping up, I don't. I could do nicely without any of them. The problem is like your scab picking anology. You know you shouldn't. But you do anyway. I often have to slap my wrist (when I do resist the urge) to keep from responding to a troll. They piss you off, and there's not much you can do about it... :(
When a Troll rears its ugly head, we have to respond, even though we know we shouldn't. That's why I like this forum, I can rant about them and get it out of my system that way.
Which brings up the next subject. Lisa and Trish, as for what do we do if Piper or JW or someone shows up here? I dunno. I hope they won't. The whole reason we started doing this is so we could talk behind their backs :)

A few months ago over on Yahoo, the Project Orion club was being blitzed by a gang of spam trolls who believed, among many other things, that the government could program ordinary appliances to broadcast mind control beams. We identified the instigator of the spam campaign, a Canadian wacko who was PO'd because we had ridiculed his proposals for "occult space propulsion" as an alternative to rockets. In response to the spamming, I posted a message threatening to reprogram his electric toothbrush to take over his pet guinea pig's mind and induce it to eat his Carly Simon albums. In another message, I threatened to send my grey alien slaves winging toward his trailer park to drag him aboard their ufo and make him recant. The dolt reported these messages to Yahoo as "terroristic threats." He had also once accused us of being a front for $cientology.

AHa! I'd narrowed it down to three. In order: you, Bozola, or Rift. Anyway, I'm glad BA didn't delete it.
I can't figure out what Pancho's point was, if there was one. Wasn't that just a picture/representation of a planet w/moon? And so he writes "They're coming!" What am I missing here?
